Description
For years, frontier lawman turned big-city senator Waxillium Ladrian has hunted the shadowy organization the Set-with his late uncle and his sister among their leaders-since they started kidnapping people with the power of Allomancy in their bloodlines. When Detective Marasi Colms and her partner Wayne find stockpiled weapons bound for the Outer City of Bilming, this opens a new lead. Conflict between Elendel and the Outer Cities only favors the Set, and their tendrils now reach to the Elendel Senate-whose corruption Wax and Steris have sought to expose-and Bilming is even more entangled.
After Wax discovers a new type of explosive that can unleash unprecedented destruction and realizes that the Set must already have it, an immortal kandra serving Scadrial's god, Harmony, reveals that Bilming has fallen under the influence of another god: Trell, worshipped by the Set. And Trell isn't the only factor at play from the larger Cosmere-Marasi is recruited by offworlders with strange abilities who claim their goal is to protect Scadrial...at any cost.
Wax must choose whether to set aside his rocky relationship with God and once again become the Sword that Harmony has groomed him to be. If no one steps forward to be the hero Scadrial needs, the planet and its millions of people will come to a sudden and calamitous ruin.

Steris hatte nicht annähernd genug Zeit. Aber sowohl in der Buchhaltung als auch beim Aufsetzen von Verträgen hatte sie gelernt, sich nicht von Maßstäben einschüchtern zu lassen. Nur weil man mit Summen in Millionenhöhe zu tun hatte, machte das tausend Kastlinge nicht wertloser. Und ähnlich war es, wenn sie nicht die ganze Stadt evakuieren konnte: Dadurch verminderte sich nicht der Wert eines einzelnen Lebens. 💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠💠
Eine weitere Ära der Nebelgeborenen- Reihe geht zu Ende. Und es war so gut. Ich will gar nicht viel sagen außer das es sich wirklich lohnt dran zu bleiben. Das Magiesystem ist einmalig und extrem cool. Die Welt wird immer komplexer und man lernt immer mehr über das gesamte Kosmeer. Sanderson hat hier echt etwas ganz besonderes geschaffen. Und die Charaktere sind einfach so gut. Ich liebe Wayne. Seine Witze und seine ganze Persönlichkeit sind einfach einmalig. Steris ist mir auch extrem ans Herz gewachsen mit ihrer eigenen Art. Sie ist extrem liebenswert. Heldenmomente sind auch zu genüge da und sogar ein bißchen feuchte Augen hatte ich am Ende. Was will man mehr von einem Abschluß einer epischen Ära? Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf die dritte Ära und hoffe das es nicht mehr all zu lange dauert bis diese erscheint! 🤍

Ich bin gebrochen. Auf die gute Art und Weise, aber ich bin gebrochen. Ich hätte es niemals für möglich gehalten, dass mir die zweite Era der Nebelgeboren-Reihe doch dermaßen zusagen würde. Ich hatte es in der Bewertung von „Hüter des Gesetzes“ bereits gesagt, Noire-Crimi-Storys sind wahrlich nicht DAS Genre, auf das ich mich direkt stürzen würde, aber hier hat es mich in keinster Weise gestört. Ebenso hat es Sanderson im Vergleich zur ersten Era tatsächlich geschafft NOCH interessantere Charaktere zu schaffen. Wayne wird in meinen Augen der lustigste ( und einer der vielschichtigsten) Charakter bleiben, von denen ich je gelesen habe. Außerdem wurden in der zweiten Era großartige Werte vermittelt, von denen ich hier nicht zuviel Wort verlieren mag aus Spoilergründen, aber ich sags mal so….das Thema Selbstfindung nimmt bei mehreren Charakteren einen GROẞEN Fokus ein. Ich war zwischenzeitlich doch sehr erstaunt, wie sehr mich die Reise von Wax und Wayne und aufgeworfene philosophische Fragen mich persönlich berührt, zum Nachdenken gebracht und teils zu Tränen gerührt haben…nur damit ein paar Seiten später Wayne mal wieder einen Schwanz-Witz raushaut oder mal wieder ein angebissenes Sandwich in Wax‘ Mantel versteckt😂👌🏻. Nach dieser Reihe bin ich nun noch mehr gewillt mich weiter ins Cosmeer-Universum zu stürzen. Elantris und Sturmklänge warten schon! Ich werde aber erst einmal eine kleine Pause einlegen von Sanderson und vorher noch ein anderes Buch lesen, damit ich wieder möglichst unbefangen und etwas losgelöster von der Nebelgeboren-Reihe mich auf andere Geschichten im Cosmeer einlassen kann. Volle 5 von 5 Sternen, ohne Diskussion. LEST VERDAMMT NOCHMAL DIE NEBELGEBOREN-REIHE!!!
Wow! Was für ein Ende der zweiten Ära 😍 ich war ja, als ich mit Jäger der Macht, dem ersten Band der zweiten Ära, angefangen habe, noch etwas skeptisch. Denn die ersten drei Teile von Die Nebelgeborenen fand ich gar nicht sooo gut 🙈 das ist aber ein anderes Thema 😋 Metall der Götter ist der grandiose Abschluss der Reihe um Wax und Wayne ❤️ und gleichzeitig legt es so viele Steine für die nächste Ära 🤩 auf die ich mich jetzt schon wahnsinnig freue! Wax, Wayne, Marasi und Steris versuchen immer noch den "Kreis" zu finden und ihre Pläne zu vereiteln. Viel Zeit bleibt ihnen dafür nicht, denn der Kreis will Elantel und seine Regierung zerstören. Dieser Band ist so unglaublich gewesen 😱 Bomben, Götter, das Kosmeer 😍 ach man erfährt so viel neues! Typisch Sanderson 😂 der Bastard macht einen mit seinem letzten Teil nochmal so richtig heiß 🤣 Ich werde die Charaktere echt vermissen 😢 besonders Steris und Wayne habe ich in mein Herz geschlossen ❤️
Für mich ein klares Jahreshighlight, welches die zweite Era der Nebelgeborenen würdig abschließt und mit einer tollen Charakterentwicklung einen auch ein wenig traurig zurücklässt, da ich gerne von allen Beteiligten noch wesentlich mehr Abenteuer und Witze gelesen hätte. Die Charaktere sind definitiv ein Highlight der gesamten Reihe, auch wenn der Inhalt nicht schlechter ist. Aber die Charaktere machen das Buch doch etwas anders. Zudem bietet dieser Band nun endlich auch noch mehr Informationen über das gesamte Kosmere, daher eine dringende Empfehlung das auch zu lesen. 5/5 von mir :)
Meiner Meinung nach das Beste Buch aus der zweiten Reihe, ein würdiger Abschluss mit wehmütigem Ende. Charaktere wie immer toll und nachvollziehbare Handlungen. Die Story ist manchmal etwas konfus. Da es bei mir schon eine Weile her war, seit ich den vorletzten Band gelesen hatte, brauchte ich eine Weile, um wieder reinzukommen. Wayne und Wax sind ein tolles Team und natürlich auch Marasi und Steris kommen nicht zu kurz. Allerdings ist Wayne der geheime Held der Geschichte und hat mich oft laut zum Lachen gebracht. Für alle Sanderson-Fans also absolut zu empfehlen.
3.5 stars. It was nice to go back to Scandrial as it was at the beginning of the mistrborn trilogy, with ash falling down from the sky and strange-behaving fog. It made me recall the good memories I had when I was reading the mistborn trilogy six years ago. I loved Kelsier back then as much as Ioved him in this novella. Now I don't recall if his story with Mare and the Pits was explained in the first book [I just looked up in the summary provided by Coppermind and found very little information given. However, on the page dedicated to Mare, the references lead to the first book]. Anyways, I would have loved to have more information about what happened in the Pits and why. On the other hand, I understand that the scope for which this novella was written did not allow in-depth information. My rating is kind of low, because plotwise there's little happening (understandable since the low number of pages), but you know, with Kelsier there's always another secret and I wanted to have more of pre-Mistborn Kelsier. :D

So as per usual. If i habe fav. Characters, at least one of them dies. One is dead, the other survived and thrived. Can u guess the second one? I loved this story with all its topics. Conquering self doubt,finding your way, friends who r family, family with its rifts. The storytelling is as always fantastic. The second era has lots of jokes and feels more playful than the first. It has its own unique fingerprint. The most importanz question thou: which hat to use? ;)
Fast-Paced Cosmere Crossover Extravaganza What a wild ride! This was a very unexpected ending to the Mistborn Era 2. The book is really fast-paced and has many Cosmere interactions. I wish they would have been woven in through the whole Second Era and not accumulated in the last book. Especially the first two books could have used some of that Cosmere juice. With that in mind the conclusion felt a bit convoluted in my opinion. I believe that people who haven’t read all the Cosmere books and short story’s have a hard time grasping some of the concepts. The plot was interesting and especially in the action sequences is where the series shines most in my opinion. The magic system has so many intricate interactions that make exciting fights. And this book is packed with them. I have to admit-I never really fell in love with the characters, especially with Wax. He’s very unapproachable and as the main protagonist I just couldn’t empathize. And this book was no exception. I would have loved to get more personal growth with the two male protagonists. Overall I enjoyed reading it. The audiobook narration was as always with Sanderson‘s books absolutely amazing!
The Lost Metal An explosive and emotional finale to the second era. The stakes are massive, the character payoffs are perfect, and it sets up some major connections to the wider Cosmere. A worthy conclusion that left me both satisfied and wanting more. Favorite Quotes: “Heroes don’t accept the world the way it is. They fight to make it better.” “We all leave scars, Wax. Good or bad, we all change the people we meet.”

You are all endless things.” Sin duda el mejor personaje de la Era 2 ha sido Wayne creo que sin él no se que hubiera hecho, me ha costado muchísimo leer estos libros y me da pena porque amo a Sanderson y todo lo que escribe y sabia que llegar a la altura de Era 1 era difícil pero que la mayoría del tiempo me dieran igual los personajes y lo que les pasara me he sentido un poco frustrada con esta saga :( espero que la Era 3 sea mejor por favor
