Description
Within the re-created Snapshot of May 1st, Davis and Chaz are the ultimate authorities. Flashing their badges will get them past any obstruction and overrule any civil right of the dupes around them. But the crimes the detectives are sent to investigate seem like drudgery - until they stumble upon the grisly results of a mass killing that the precinct headquarters orders them not to investigate. That's one order they have to refuse.
The hunt is on. And though the dupes in the replica city have no future once the Snapshot is turned off, that doesn't mean that both Davis and Chaz will walk out of it alive tonight.

This needs to be turned into a movie! I'm a firm believer that shorter stories make the better movies. You just need to look at Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me for proof of this. Snapshot I believe, falls into this category. It is a mixture of Minority Report, Se7en and Blade Runner. The story has its flaws, but I can definitely see it working on the big screen, in the right hands!
Ich fand die Idee hinter dieser Geschichte super spannend. Ich glaub aber die Geschichte hätte mir etwas besser gefallen wenn sie etwas länger gewesen wäre und man die Figuren besser kennen gelernt hätte und vielleicht auch noch etwas mehr Hintergrund erhalten hätte. Besonders da die Idee so interessant ist denke ich, hätte man mehr aus der Geschichte machen können. So fand ich die Geschichte zwar nicht langweilig, aber irgendwie konnte sie mich auch über lange Strecken nicht besonders fesseln die mir die Figuren und auch der Fall auf den sie stossen eigentlich ziemlich egal war. Die ganze Geschichte fühlte sich so an also würde sie auf eine überraschende Wendung hinarbeiten. Als diese schliesslich kam wurde ich zum Glück nicht enttäuscht, doch ich denke auch die Wendung hätte noch eine bessere Wirkung gehabt wenn die Figuren besser ausgearbeitet gewesen wären. Insgesamt war Snapshot durchaus eine interessante und unterhaltsame Geschichte für Zwischendurch. Doch bei mir blieb leider auch das Gefühl zurück, dass nicht das ganze Potential ausgeschöpft wurde.
