A Short Stay in Hell

— Dieses Buch hat für mich ein heftiges "Lesen" und "Drüber nachdenken" Verhältnis. Gelesen sind die 100 Seiten in kürzester Zeit. Drüber nachdenken werd ich noch lange. Kennt ihr das wenn man einen normalen, guten Tag hat und auf einmal schiebt euer Hirn euch eine triggernde Erinnerung ins Bewusstsein. Das ist das Buch hier. Ich habe noch keine Story gelesen, die mir so existentielle Angst einjagt. Ich will die Vorstellung davon am liebsten komplett verdrängen ha ha ha. ⠀ — Also... der Protagonist befindet sich in einer Hölle, in Form einer Bibliothek voller Bücher, die er nur verlassen kann, wenn er genau das EINE Buch findet das seine Lebensgeschichte erzählt. Er ist nicht allein, kann alles essen was und wann er will, Beziehungen eingehen etc. Klingt doch nicht so schlimm oder? Doch. Die endlosen Regale sind gefüllt mit Büchern die jegliche mögliche Buchstaben Kombination enthalten. Jede. Mögliche. Kombination. Viel Spaß beim rechnen. Und mehr zu dieser grauenvollen Idee wenn ihr "Library of Babel" googlet. 🫶🏼 ⠀ — Also nein, kein Fairy Spice or spannender Thriller, nur Buchstabensalat. Auf den letzten Seiten gibt es sogar die Rechnung wie groß so eine Bibliothek wäre und wie lange es überhaupt dauern würde ihren Endpunkt zu finden.
