    Leider habe ich das Buch auf Seite 200 abgebrochen. Mein Empfinden war, dass viel erzählt, aber wenig gesagt wurde in der Familie. Es plätscherte so vor sich hin und nichts passierte. Die Figuren sind mir fremd geblieben und es gab irgendwie keine Entwicklung in der Handlung. Es wurde viel getrunken und gefeiert, aber alles blieb nur oberflächlich und konnte mich leider nicht mitreißen . Schade, da ich schon viel Gutes über das Buch gehört habe, aber es war vielleicht einfach nicht meins.

    Leichte zu lesender Schmöker über drei Schwestern und ihre Mutter. Themen wie Familie, Alkoholismus und Beziehung geben dem Roman eine gewisse Tiefe ohne zu sehr zu beschweren. Das Setting auf der Ilse of white bringt erste Sommervibes mit rein.

    Ein berührender Roman, bei dem man die Familienmitglieder auf der Suche nach ihrer Identität, ihrem Platz im Leben und innerhalb der Familie begleitet. Mir hat die Geschichte sehr gut gefallen. Alle Charakteren sind liebevoll beschrieben, sodass ich mich in jeden einfühlen konnte. Durch den atmosphärisch dichten Schreibstil hatte ich oft Bilder vor Augen und fühlte mich mitten im Geschehen. Eine ganz klare Leseempfehlung. .
