*Spoilers!* Oh god, I LOVED the second book. Ronan is probably my favourite character by far and then to learn so much about him and to read about him ... I discreetly had tears in my eyes a lot because I was so happy. Also I just love how the dreams are handled and the nightmare characters. My gosh, I'm so hooked eh. I also really liked Kavinsky xDProbably because Ronan Lynch is my favourite character. <3 I mean, I love Adam too, and Adam "suffers" quite a bit here ... but he's going through such an important character development and so it's kind of okay! And Ronan isn't having an easy time either xD I love the concept of "dreaming things into reality". That's so exciting? And then to learn that Ronan isn't the only person who can do this? That he probably didn't inherit it? It was so great to finally get to know "the Barns" and also to catch a glimpse of Ronan's family. Of the relationships between them. Matthew is such a sweetheart <3 As I am a big Kavinsky fan, I was really happy that he also had a "bigger" role in the book and that we got more insight into his "obsession" with Ronan. Not that this short-term "relationship" (for Ronan just a "hey, I'll use you now and then bye") was healthy and Kavinsky is more than dubious and yes ... Maggie remains very vague - which is a good thing in Young Adult. Am I sad he didn't survive the whole thing? Yes >-< But yes, I love the book. Love Mr. Grey, love Orphan Girl, love EVERYTHING <3

I‘d give it 4.5 stars because sometimes it is a bit slow and then sometimes I am not motivated to keep on reading in the moment because of a lot of perspective changes. But that’s also what makes the book great. It puts a lot of effort in characterisation of the characters. When I‘m reading the different perspectives, I can really empathise with the characters because it is written in a way that I understand and feel their feelings even though I might not support their actions. Also, I like that things don’t happen in a vacuum there. Things and conversations still happen outside of the narrator‘s main focus and you see glimpses of the lives of others through their eyes and that’s also something that makes it feel real. All in all, plot-wise not that much really happens in the whole book, but I still loved to read it so much because of how charmingly and good it is written and because I am interested in the characters and their changing dynamics.
This took me longer than I expected!! I have to admit that the middlepart was really slow and kinda threw me into a little reading slump. But the end!! I inhaled the last 100 pages and I loved every bit of them. <spoiler>also, you can't tell me kavinsky hadn't had a big crush on ronan. Their energy was so weird and so freaking gay!!!</spoiler>
