Fishy transmigration story
Ah, this was so cute 🥰 I love the fishy adventures of our protagonist and the development of his relationship with the "tyrant." A great transmigration story with some palace drama and loveable characters. Li Yu suddenly wakes up in the world of a book he was reading, but he isn't just a regular character; he got turned into a fish! But there is a system giving him missions to improve his status (as to not get turned into fish bone and ash lol). His overall mission: Become the pet fish of Prince Jing. Though communication is hard since the prince is mute and fish can't talk as well... It was so heartwarming to see them find a way to communicate anyway and form a bond. The pacing is rather slow but never boring. We have the palace drama, which is interesting but also never too severe. This is more of a relaxing, fun read 😊 I had to chuckle quite a bit when Li Yu was getting annoyed with the system and its lack of information describing the missions, or when Wang Xi, the personal servant and something like an interpreter of the prince, was conveying his thoughts and just straight up told people to fuck off 😂 As you can guess from the following covers and such, Li Yu gains the ability to turn human again, though not permanently, and there are some "Cinderella" moments, where he has to flee before he turns into a fish again 😂 This almost becomes a detective story with Prince Jing on the case like 🕵♂️ It is also kinda weird what they let pass as normal fish behavior, but that makes it more fun 🤭 I just wish the art inside was as amazing as the covers. Not that it's bad or anything, they just look so different, and it's not that detailed. I really wanted a proper picture of the fish tank cause I couldn't imagine what ancient fish tanks looked like (especially when it was described as half a person high), but we mostly got close-ups of the characters 😅 Though, the cover is also not quite accurate, showing a koi instead of a common carp (I guess he can transform later, but this is volume 1). Anyways, great start. I immediately started volume 2 and can't wait to see their relationship develop further. I also wonder what will be the next drama and mission 🤭
