Mit The Disabled Tyrant’s Beloved Pet Fish Band 4 geht diese wunderbar absurde, herzerwärmende Reihe um Li Yu und Mu Tianchi nun zu Ende — und was für ein Finale das war! Das letzte Buch dreht noch einmal richtig auf: Es liefert nicht nur Spannung, Action und eine ordentliche Portion Drama, sondern vergisst auch die liebgewonnenen Lacher und die süßen, zarten Liebesmomente nicht. Genau diese Mischung hat die Reihe für mich so besonders gemacht: schräg, emotional, humorvoll – und gleichzeitig überraschend berührend. Ich hätte zu Beginn wirklich nicht gedacht, dass mich diese schräge Prämisse so sehr fesseln würde, aber nach vier Bänden kann ich nur sagen: Es war einfach eine wunderbare Reise. Ein perfekter Abschluss für eine Reihe, die mich immer wieder zum Schmunzeln, Mitfiebern und Seufzen gebracht hat.

Regardlessly, this series was nothing but wholesome and hilarious. It was intriguing and I never stopped rooting for the characters. I never thought I could love and enjoy this series this much, but here we are. I'm sad that the series ended and I would've loved to read more about Li Yu and his ever growing family and yet I believe it had the perfect end. I recommend this series to anyone who needs a laugh, who wants to switch off their brain and just enjoy a huge amount of ridiculousness, an intriguing plot and a whole bunch of sweet romance.

Fishy ending
The last volume of this beautiful series ❤️ A bit hard to rate for me because there was one major thing I didn't like, but it still didn't change my general opinion on the series and the rest was great. Even shed a few tears on the last page because it was so sweet 🥹❤️ I can just recommend this series to everyone who wants to read something sweet with a bit of palace drama and fishy high jinks 🤭 ⬇️ The rest is all spoilers: ⬇️ So, the one thing I didn't like was Prince Jing being cured of his muteness. The backstory with the poison was interesting and could have stayed the same, but idk if it can really stay in the body for 20+ years and them be neutralized... but whether that is realistic or not, curing disabilities is just always an iffy plotline because it frames a disability as something that needs to be overcome for a true happy ending. I was especially disappointed because so far, everything around that was handled so well, and him being mute was never an issue, and it also wasn't necessary to change anything. I mean, I was happy for Tianchi (he wanted to call Xiaoyu by his name so bad), but in terms of representation, it's a bit sad. Disabilities normally can't just be cured, and him being the Emperor while still mute would have been more meaningful. Still, I think the author just wanted the characters to be happy, and after a while, I got used to it. The story still handles other topics really well, like with Li Yu founding a women's federation 👌🏻 I also loved his little talisman delivery quest. I was a bit sad there weren't that many fish transformations anymore, so that was exciting. Though, it was really convenient the enemy wanted to wait a day for no reason 👀 Could have just threatened the Emperor with Tianchis life to abdicate the throne right there, but oh well (the protagonist's halo at work lol). Just a few other little things that bothered me before I end it on a positive note: I was annoyed Li Yu kept exchanging Tianchis secrets for replays of that one secret xD I get it was important, but others might have been important as well and then he didn't even look at the immediately. The suspense would have killed me! 😂 The daughter pregnancy as a human... and it happened through a mistake 😅 I really don't like pregnancy stuff, so I wasn't a fan, but it was fine to read. I am glad I didn't skip this series since I knew about the mpreg beforehand. But I have to say, I am curious as to how that baby was born 😂 There is no real explanation and I get it's just supposed to be like magic or whatever, but there was a birth (out the ass, I suppose), so was there a magical uterus in there or what?? 😂 I'm still shocked how everyone there just accepted that there is this one (cis) guy that just happens to be able to get pregnant 😅 And the art inconsistencies strike again. With the special edition came a beautiful bookmark with Li Yu in his merman and manmer form, but again, it's not the right color! His tail is silver with gold, so why is it red in the merman and silver-red in the manmer form? 😅 It looks pretty, but I'd have liked to have at least one accurate big full color artwork of our worlds best fish 😭 (at least the chibi stickers were correct). Okey, now to the last part, which was the short trip to the modern world, which I loved ❤️ When I saw the colored page in the front I was a bit scared they would just permanently go there, but it was just a brief visit 😌 The best thing was Tianchi turning into a fish a well 🤭 A bit sad this only happened at the end because I wanted more scenes with both fish, but the last few sentences describing the full fish family were so nice 🥹 I might have had a few more complaints in this volume, but I still loved it and am so glad I've read this series 🥰 Their relationship is everything ❤️
Eine meiner liebsten Danmei-Reihen hat ihr Ende gefunden. Ich habe diesen Band mit einem lachenden und weinenden Auge gelesen. Auch diese Reihe war einerseits super wholesome und andererseits sehr lustig. Ich habe die ganze Familie einfach in mein Herz geschlossen. 🥰 Auch fand ich es toll wie das ganze Hof-Drama ein Ende gefunden hat. So machte es Sinn wie die Thronbesteigung stattfand. Persönlich finde ich, dass manche Prinzen, Ehefrauen und besonders die männliche Konkubine zu extrem bestraft wurden. Warum haben sie solch ein schlimmes Ende verdient? Weil sie sich ein besseres Leben verdient haben? Darum wird ihnen jegliche Würde und teils sogar die geistige Gesundheit genommen? Das hat einfach einen sehr bitteren Beigeschmack. Leider ist diese Behandlung von Sexarbeitern bzw Menschen mit psychischen Erkrankungen in Danmeis keine Seltenheit. Trotzdem liebe ich die Reihe. Sie hat ihre Probleme, aber wenn man über diese hinweg sieht, bekommt man eine lustige Isekai-Story.
Schöner Abschluss
Das Buch war ein schöner Abschluss zu der 4-bändigen Reihe, hat mir gut gefallen. Es ist einfach so eine Wohlfühl-Geschichte. Ich liebe das Pairing und die Familie, die die beiden sich aufgebaut haben, und die Story hat einen finde ich sehr runden Abschluss bekommen. Einzig, was am Ende den Mutismus von Tianchi betrifft, bin ich mir nicht sicher, was ich davon halten soll... kam offensichtlich nicht aus dem Nichts, es wurde vorher angeteasert, aber hätte es finde ich auch nicht gebraucht 🙈 Ansonsten, joa... vieles sollte man bei der Story nicht allzu ernst nehmen, der Protagonist Halo ist real xD Aber ganz ehrlich, für Realismus hab ich die Bücher auch nicht gelesen. Das Genre geht eher richtung historic comedy romance mit fantsy elementen, was an der ganzen Prämisse denke ich deutlich wird. Und dafür hat es einfach gepasst Ich hab bekommem, was ich wollte - bzw. wurde insgesamt positiv überrascht, weil man sich am Anfang eher fragt, ob man ein Buch mit so einem Aufhänger überhaupt lesen will xD Antwort ist eindeutig ja! Es ist einfach eine schöne Reihe, die man am besten liest, wenn man mal eine Pause von ernsten Büchern braucht. Btw: Es gab im vorherigen Band ja schon eine Fisch-pregnancy, in diesem jetzt eine richtige mpreg in Menschengestalt plus Geburt. Das Ganze ist nicht grafisch beschrieben und auch nicht erklärt, wie das abläuft, aber einfach als Hinweis für Leute, die das so gar nicht mögen.
Die erste Hälfte des Buches war wahnsinnig gut. Der sechste Prinz und alle seine Anhänger haben die Strafe bekommen, die sie verdient haben. Auch, wenn ich finde, dass die ein oder andere Person ruhig noch etwas mehr hätte leiden dürfen, bin ich insgesamt zufrieden damit wie es für die Antagonisten ausgegangen ist. Ist alles sehr schnell und Schlag auf Schlag geschehen? Schon. Was mich zur zweiten Hälfte des Buches bringt: die Gefahr ist gebannt, was soll jetzt noch passieren? Einige Szenen haben sich dann doch gefunden, aber meiner Meinung nach, hätte es dem Buch auch nicht geschadet, nach 200 Seiten zu enden. Das hat mir ein wenig die Lesemotivation genommen, sodass ich die ersten 300 Seiten an drei Tagen und die restlichen 125 in über einem Monat gelesen habe.
