3,75☆ This took me a while longer to finish than vol. 1 and I have to say it was a bit boring in the middle 😅 I get that certain things take time to develop, but it felt a bit repetitive at times, and I really want to know how this betrayal came to be, so I got a bit impatient. Still, it was a good volume, and the cover of volume 3 looks more dramatic, so I am excited for that 👀 The volume was essentially 3 arcs. First, the whole thing about Li Qingqian. Very sad flashback. Felt so sorry them 🥲 I bet that mysterious Guoshi will appear again (and I have an idea who it might be). The "conclusion" of that was very interesting, and I hope we find out more soon 👀 Then, the middle was basically daily life stuff with Gu Mang getting used to his new place and becoming less feral 😅 As I said, this was the part where I got a bit bored because it was also kinda repetitive, with Mo Xi lamenting about the same frustrations again and again (which I totally get, but reading it was still a bit exhausting). The end was way more interesting with Gu Mangs' memories and stuff. I also surprisingly really liked Princess Mengze. With what we heard about her before and what everyone is suspecting about her relationship with Mo Xi, I expected there to be some kind of drama, but she is not about that. I like how direct and genuine she seems and wonder if she'll have a bigger role in the series. Well, I always heard this series is super sad, but so far, I haven't cried. Maybe in the next volume 👀
*Proceeds to die 💀* Dieser letzte Satz…
I‘m not even kidding, dieser letzte Satz vom Buch zerstörte mich. Innerlich wie auch äusserlich. Nochmal sage ich: Wer diese Reihe nicht liest verpasst was, was grosses. Way too underrated!!!
