👑𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐈'𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧👑 This was such an incredible romantasy book that completely gripped me from the breathtaking prologue to the epic cliffhanger at the end 😍🥹 I had so much fun reading Blaze's story and always felt thoroughly entertained by the engaging and fast-paced plot 🌊 The overall concept and worldbuilding was really intriguing, and there were unique ideas that fascinated me - especially the way Blaze's abilities were anchored to certain emotions, and the story of the three sisters and their talismans 🫶 The main protagonist, Blaze, who undergoes a great character development throughout the book, was such an enjoyable character to follow 💙 I also loved all of the funny and dynamic side characters, especially Fox, Flint, Elva and Spinner 🥰 Towards the conclusion, I could not put the book down because of how thrilling and unexpected the events developed! There were countless plottwists that I did not see coming at all and made me gasp every two pages 🫢 The ending still has me utterly speechless and I really can't wait to find out what happens next in the second book, Tides of Fortune, which releases in June 📚🌊 Overall, I am enthralled by the plot of 'Heir of Storms', which combines so many tropes I love such as elemental magic and trials and remains compelling from start to finish 😍📖 If you love fantasy with a strong main character, themes of royalty, friendship and romance, and with many unexpected twists, I can only recommend this to you - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars! YA-Fantasy, die doch noch überrascht! 🙏🏻

Absolut packend!

Es gibt nicht viele Bücher die ich nicht mehr aus dee Hand legen will, aber Heir of storm gehört definitiv dazu! Powerless? Ha! Einfach mega!♡

Absolut packend!

A strong YA novel with elemental magic, trials and finding your powers. The beginning is really great and immediately puts you into the story. This is also thanks to the narrator of the audiobook who I really really like for the FMC. Both her voice and Blaze, our main character, are very emotional and raw at times, yet strong and determined as hell. As the throne in this world has to be won, there is a trial with elemental magic. And as trials go, this is really of the unique and engaging kind. All in all I enjoyed the book a lot, however I was not blown away (excuse the pun). 4/5 stars Thank you @netgalley and @macmillan.audio for the eARC! #HeirOfStorms #Netgalley #Bookstagram

I loved this book. It has great world building, awesome and ver relatable characters and an exciting storyline. The author is writing very descriptively which makes it easy to dive in this world and imagine the scenes reading about. Loved the character development - with a little remark. I would’ve guessed Blaze initial time at court would be a little different given that she never really encountered in social activities. That didnt really show but would’ve been an aspect to build even more character development on. Apart from that it was a great story with a twist I didn’t see coming. Can’t wait for the next book!

Hooked from page one

Once I started, I couldn’t put this book down. I’m so in love with the characters, the world-building, and the story. This is definitely one of the best books I’ve ever read, and I can’t wait for the story to continue

3.5

Amazing start to the series of The Heirs of Storms

The Book ist about a girl who was born a rain singer which was very unexpected. When she was born she wove a storm that killed many people of the kingdom and made her feared even though it wasn't really her fault. Fast forward she ist part of a choosing rite for the new Kings and Queens of the 4 kingdoms even though her power consists only of a small drizzel since the storm. How is she going to do in the competition? Thats for the readers to find out following Blazes Story in Lauryn Hamilton Murray's book The Heirs of Storm. This Story is amazing the worldbuilding takes und imedietly into another world. As a reader sometimes you get whiplash of the plottwists happening but in a good way. I can really recomend this book to every fantasy lover and romantasy lover as it has a hunsh of romance as part of the storyline. Hopefully this is continued in part 2.

An amazing YA Fantasy book!

Heir of Storms hooked me from the very first chapter, which is why I devoured the book so quickly 😊. We follow FMC Blaze, who, although born into a fire family, possesses water magic - more precisely, she's a Rain Singer, supposedly the last one 🌧️. We read about her childhood in several flashbacks & how, on her 17th birthday, she's officially introduced to all the officials - and then, completely unexpectedly, becomes an heir in the competition for the Water Crown. This competition is where the story really kicks off & gave me everything I expect from a YA fantasy book - 📖 elemental magic, an exciting competition, royalty, intrigue & romance. I really liked all the characters. Even Blaze's annoying cousin had her place in the story 🤣. There's a prince who will soon become emperor & a bastard prince who's an outcast. Blaze also has a charming twin brother who looks after his little sister. That worked out some really great scenes for me 😌. Blaze is rather quiet & shy, especially at the beginning of the story. This changes as the book progresses & she gains more self-confidence; however, she remains a rather reserved FMC. This isn't a flaw for the book, but something I didn't quite like, as I prefer MCs who are more extroverted & sassy. Plot twists also have their place in the book. The "romance plot twist," in particular, which I didn't expect at all, was fantastic - a little sad, but also with interesting new possibilities. The final chapters held an exciting reveal of the villain (or rather, villains 🤔?). I'm really looking forward to the 2nd book & am curious to see what happens to Blaze & her magic 🩷!

An amazing YA Fantasy book!
