CHLOE GONG WAS ZUR HÖLLE

I‘m usually not a big fan of cyberpunk books but this one had me in its thrall. I loved the two story lines and how they started to come together in a way that made my jaw drop in the end. I did not see that coming AT ALL. I only take down one star because I thought the concept of this dystopian world would have needed a bit more backstory and explanation. I struggled in the beginning quite a bit to actually follow and only grasped major things in the end. That was a bit disappointing to be honest. But still the storyline was really interesting, the turns were amazing and it’s just a nice read for everyone who likes Dystopian books with a huge Cyberpunk influence. Thanks to Netgalley for the eARC!

It took me forever to get through this book, but that’s partly because of my reading slump. 🫥 I was very confused at the beginning, as new characters, politics, different POV’s and two realities (downcountry & upcountry) seemed to be randomly put together, so the world building didn’t quite make sense. It took me some time to get hooked on the story, but when the pacing finally picked up, I loved this dystopian world! The last 100 pages were crazy, I couldn’t even predict the plot twist. 🫢
