Worum geht's? 📖 Nachdem Maggie jahrelang hart für ihre Hochzeitsagentur gearbeitet hat, gönnt sie sich endlich erholsame Ferien auf Bora Bora. Plötzlich taucht dort der beste Freund ihres Bruders/ ihr Erzfeind Brody auf. Nach einer make out session am Hochzeitstag ihres Bruders, die fürchterlich geendet hat, hat sie sich geschworen sich von ihm fernzuhalten. Das heißt bist sie herausfand, dass er auf Bora Bora ist, um an der Hochzeit der Tochter seines Chefs teilzunehmen, von der sich Maggie einen riesen Deal erhofft. Einige Male musste ich laut loslachen mit den beiden. Lustig, witzig, herzerwärmend - eine richtige feel good RomCom und super geeignet für den Sommer ☀️

Meghan Quinn schreibt die lustigsten Romcoms und richtig guten Smut❕ Eine meiner liebsten Autorinnen. Es war eine gute Abwechslung mal von einem tollpatschigen Protagonisten zu lesen dem immer peinliche Dinge passieren. Normalerweise ist es immer andersherum. Dieses Buch war allerdings einfach nur viel zu lang und man hätte sich viele Details und lange Kapitel sparen können. Ich bin dadurch in eine Leseflaute gekommen 🙁.
Normalerweise mag ich die Bücher von Meghan Quinn sehr. Das hier hat mir leider nicht so gut gefallen. Ich fand die beiden Protagonisten unsympathisch. Die Missgeschicke, die Brody passiert sind, waren irgendwann nicht mehr lustig. Außerdem war ich nie wirklich im Lesefluß und sehr leicht abgelenkt und das ist ein Indiz, dass mich ein Buch langweilt.
Well, it started off great, even though I found both MCs a little annoying. But I love fake dating, so I powered through and I did get some good laughs. But boy, did it go downhill… He just kept embarrassing himself over and over (and over). It was painful to read and made him really unattractive. And then it just got boring and repetitive. I’ll admit it… I skimmed the last 30% of the book. Sue me.
