USA TODAY BESTSELLER!

Sparks fly when an occult expert and a disgraced archeologist become enemies-with-benefits in this steamy romance from "go-to author" Rosie Danan (The New York Times Book Review).

Riley Rhodes finally has the chance to turn her family’s knack for the supernatural into a legitimate business when she’s hired to break the curse on an infamous Scottish castle. Used to working alone in her alienating occupation, she's pleasantly surprised to meet a handsome stranger upon arrival—until he tries to get her fired.

Fresh off a professional scandal, Clark Edgeware can’t allow a self-proclaimed “curse breaker” to threaten his last chance for redemption. After he fails to get Riley kicked off his survey site, he vows to avoid her. Unfortunately for him, she vows to get even.

Riley expects the curse to do her dirty work by driving Clark away, but instead, they keep finding themselves in close proximity. Too close. Turns out, the only thing they do better than fight is fool around. If they’re not careful, by the end of all this, more than the castle will end up in ruins.

Mega süß, schöne Kulisse und witzige Charakter - Kombo

4.5

Absolutely stunning

I love everything, the banter, the spooky vibes, the smut *chef’s kiss* brilliant

3.5

3.5⭐️ Admittedly, it took me a while to finish this (also admittedly due to the ongoing problem I have of starting multiple books at the same time, then prioritising one over all the others and then forgetting half of what I’ve already read - I’m aware, I’m working on it

How fun! A plot that doesn’t require too much brain action and really, really hot steamy scenes

Hear me out:Plot wise it’s 2 starsBut because of some points that I really enjoyed I even considered to give it 4,75. But lowered it.I definitely didn’t expected spice. I thought it was YA and I was definitely wrong. But spice was pretty good.Besides it I loved the setting. I had one of the best childhood summers you could possibly have in Scotland, more precisely St. Andrews. And it was mentioned a lot. Also the castle reminded me of the castle in which I had an art lesson near St. Andrews.Characters were sometimes really relatable. But the love bombing and mixed signals ruined it for me. It’s not believable how fast things happened. More like lust and not love.Curse was not interesting. I wanted more of the old letter’s information to be dropped. That would have a potential. But..meh.
