Aufgrund einer Schicksalsschläge sind sie obdachlos und wandern mangels anderer Möglichkeiten einfach los. Das Buch ist geprägt von der Ausweglosigkeit des Paares, der Krankheit des Ehemannes, der Anstrengungen des Wanderns und wirklich vieler Naturbeschreibungen. Phasenweise fand ich es sehr repetitiv und langatmig, trotz einiger schöner philosophischer Denkansätze.

Auch wenn es sich erstmal zieht, oder man nur schwer in die Geschichte kommt, quält man sich dann aber doch weiter durch Passagen und gibt dem Ganzen eine Chance.
Da wurde ich tatsächlich schon einige Male doch och vom Gegenteil überzeugt,
Aber da seh ich doch schon wieder diese Staubkörner, die meine Aufmerksamkeit in den Bann ziehen...
Nein, meines wars definitiv nicht, deshalb Abbruch bei der Hälfte.

Ich mag die Reise bisher sehr, auch der Schreibstil ist angenehm. Was mich aber stört, auch wenn Raynor das gerade alles verarbeitet, ist dieses Selbstmitleid das ständig durch die Seiten und Worte trieft...
