Ein großartiges Buch von Terry Pratchett über Fußball.
In der Unsichtbaren Akademie in Ankh-Morpork wird auf Anweisung von Lord Vetinari eine Fußballmanschaft gegründet. Trainiert wird die Manschaft von Nutt, der ein Geheimnis mit sich trägt, dass selbst er nicht kennt. Unterstützt wird er von seinen Freunden. Das Buch ist unglaublich packend, spannend und lustig. Es ist sehr unterhaltsam und eben ein echter Terry Pratchett - obwohl es von Fußball handelt.
Ich weiß nicht ganz, was ich davon halten soll. Es hat ein recht offenes Ende, schlimmer als sonst, und hinterlässt auch noch das Gefühl, dass man nicht wirklich begriffen hat, was am Ende vor sich geht. Viel zu viele Rätsel werden einfach nicht gelöst. Aber gleichzeitig gewinnt man den Glauben an Fußball zurück, den man dank der unzähligen Idioten-Fans während der WM leider verloren hat. Und es hat ein paar der besten Vetinari-Momente aller Zeiten - ich steh einfach auf den Kerl. Fazit also: Es macht schon Spaß, es zu lesen, es ist spannend, aber kommt nicht an frühere Bücher heran.
For me, this is the best book of the series in a while, its characters are so loveable and some of the side characters like Pepe are tremendously funny. Mr Nutt especially is a wonderful character, when he starts philosiphising, for example about famous spoons, the book becomes hilarious. At first glance it looks like a book about football, but whilst reading it, I began to realise that it's really about tolerance and friendship. Terry Pratchett tells us this tale of tolerance in his own, unique style, whithout ever getting melodramatic or lecturing. "Unseen Academicals" has once again shown me why Terry Pratchett is my favourite author.
Ich liebe es Zeit in Ankh-Morpork zu verbringen. Es ist einer meiner liebsten Orte auf der Scheibenwelt, besonders die unsichtbare Universität, hat stets unterhaltsame Geschichten zu erzählen. Auch dieses Mal war es ein Brüller. Zauberer beim Fußball, ist doch wirklich ein Bild für die Götter. Auch die Geschichte um Natt, war super spannend und unterhaltsam. Glenda hat mein Herz erwärmt, ebenso wie ihre Art sich um alles und jeden zu kümmern. Auch Trev und Jules waren tolle Charaktere. Ich hoffe von allen in Zukunft noch einmal etwas zu hören.
