Ich habe mich sehr auf dieses Buch gefreut, weil es das erste Mafia Buch aus dem Rina Universum ist. Nun ja … es war okay 😆 Rinas Schreibstil ist wieder einmal richtig gut und man fliegt nur so durch die Seiten. Der Spice war wie immer sehr wild 🫡 Die Chemie zwischen den Protas mochte ich ganz gern, der Schlagabtausch war herrlich! 🔥 Ab und zu hat mir allerdings etwas Handlung und Tiefe gefehlt, deshalb hoffe ich sehr, dass Band zwei davon mehr bietet.

•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°• Persönliche Songempfehlung: Terror Jr - 3 Strikes Graur - Absence has a name Jorge Rivera-Herrans - Monster Twenty one Pilots - Doubts Ich finde ihre Bücher ein wenig vorhersehbar, dennoch war es diesmal ganz gut und mehr als 3 Sterne wert. Ich mag Rai. Sie ist eine Powerfrau, lässt sich in der Bratva nicht einfach unterbuttern und tut vieles für diejenigen, die ihr wichtig sind. Schwäche gegenüber anderen zeigen ist ein No-No und sich ihrem Ehemann hingeben, der sie in der Vergangenheit zurückgelassen hat (aus anderen Gründen, als sie denkt), kommt ihr absolut nicht in die Tüte. Kyle dagegen will sie auf seiner Seite wissen, weiß, dass es nicht ganz richtig war, sie einfach allein zu lassen und leistet jetzt eine steamy Version des Wiedergutmachens. Gott ich mag den Kerl. Richtig Action gibt es nicht. Eine Szene ist da allerdings schon, und diese bringt die beiden endlich wieder zueinander. Wenn das Ende nicht wäre, hätte der Band ein gutes Ende genommen.
A bit too much Spice, basically only spice lol
The story started really strong and I immediately loved Rai! The dynamic with Kyle seemed natural and there are a lot of secrets going on. However this book focuses heavy on their spicy scenes which were a bit too much imo. More actual story would haven been good, but i guess you have to fill a book somehow if you plan on a second part lol 🤪 The narrators were good, unfortunately not duett.
Rai Sokolov & Kyle Hunter..
Ich habe mich sehr sehr sehr auf die Story rund um Nikolais Eltern Kyle Hunter und Rai Sokolov gefreut. Ich finde Rai ist eine super starke Frau die sich nicht alles gefallen lässt. Kyle ist schon verdammt witzig und mich interessiert wahnsinnig was nun sein endgültiges Vorhaben sein wird. Die Story war alles in allem gleichermaßen spannend als auch witzig. Es ist einiges passiert und auch sehr viel offen geblieben. Ich werd mir gleich mal Band 2 reinziehen, ich bin mega gespannt.🫡
Mafia Princess meets assassin🤭
Da ich in dem Rina Kent Universum gefangen bin, habe ich angefangen die Vorgeschichte von LoG zu lesen. Ich habe die Alternative Readingorder gewählt die mit der Mafia Reihe beginnt. Und so stieß ich auf Rai und Kyle, die Eltern von Nikolai, Mia und Maya. Auch wenn es Second-Chance Trope ist, was ich wirklich noch nie gelesen habe und auch eigentlich nicht mag, muss ich sagen, war dieses Buch fesselnd. Man war schnell im Thema drinnen und auch die Handlung wurde sehr gut geschrieben. Das Buch endet mit einem gewaltigen Cliffhanger but it’s worth it.🥰
Hoping for more plot in book two 🤞
I was so exicted for Rais book after reading Reinas and to finally enter Rina Kents mafia world. This wasn't as tension filled as I thought though. Sadly, barely anything happened plot wise and surrounding the whole mafia aspect. Most of it was just pretty repetitive smut - which is surprisingly an issue I have with most mafia books. Why do so many mafia books have so little action and intrigue in them? I mean, if I compare this to the Royal Elite Series, this was childs play. RES had so many secrets and betrayals and those characters were teens. I expected so much more from the mafia. I did like Rai as a character and her chemistry with Kyle though which is why this is ranked so highly. So far, I'm surprised to say that the storyline in Reinas book was generally more intriguing than the ones in Rais book Side Note: I absolutely loved Damien.

Ich war ein bisschen skeptisch bei der Trope "Second Chance" aber es hat mir so gut gefallen 🫶🏼 Die Chemie und die Spannung zwischen Rai und Kyle ist so gut beschrieben. Starke FMC und Bodyguard/Sniper MMC ❤️ 4,5/5 🌶 Der Cliffhanger war sehr gemein... Aber freue mich schon sehr auf den 2. Teil
Rai and Kyle are one of my favourite couple that I've read about by Rina Kent so far. They are witty, have amazing banter, I love that Rai won't let herself be talked over or pushed into a corner in the world she lives in and Kyle is a mystery himself. I'm interested to see how their story will conclude (and I absolutely adore the little cameos of the other characters such as Reina, Adrian, etc.)
Puh, nachdem ich die anderen Rina Kent Bücher, die ich bis jetzt gelesen hatte, so geliebt hab, bin ich jz bissl enttäuscht 👀 Ich weiß nicht mal wirklich woran es gelegen ist, aber es hat sich ab der Hälfte einfach nur gezogen 😮💨 Vielleicht lag es auch daran, dass ich gar keine Verbindung zu den Charakteren aufbauen konnte Oder daran, dass Kyle mir einfach immer noch unsympathisch ist 😂

It’s my first rina Kent book and I heard so much about her books, how good they are…I mean this one wasn’t like horrible but it also wasn’t great- I love Rai Sokolov, she’s an icon and a baddie. He is an assassin and her ex-protector…forced marriage and all. I heard it’s supposed to be enemies to lovers but honestly there wasn’t a big enemies part which disappointed me, the storyline is nothing special either… I am honestly a bit disappointed but maybe the second book will save it. Still will continue reading her books bc I wanna know about the other characters too!!
Schwache Protagonistin 🫠
Die Geschichte zwischen Kyle und Rai kann man lesen, muss man aber nicht. Mich hat es wieder total gestört, dass Rai als starke, unabhängige Frau präsentiert wurde, aber im Endeffekt doch keinen Mumm hatte. Sie hat Kyle so schnell an sich herangelassen und sich gleichzeitig darüber beschwert, wie stark er sie verletzt hat. Ich würde mir eine Frau wünschen, die auch einfach mal zu ihren Prinzipien steht, Nein zum Mann sagt und sich nicht gleich vögeln lässt, sondern den Mann mal zappeln lässt. Aber Kyle konnte ja wirklich alles mit ihr machen, und sie hat sich nicht gewehrt. (Damit meine ich nicht nur körperlich, sondern auch mental.) Ich denke mir halt: Wie schwer ist es, mal keinen Sex zu haben?! 😂 Und grundsätzlich ging es in dem Buch hauptsächlich um Sex, also Plot gab es keinen.
DE: Ich fand das Buch wirklich gut. Teilweise war es mir zu viel spice denn es war wirklich oft Thema. Ich mochte die Dynamik der beiden sehr und mehr über die Mafia Welt von Rina Kent kennenzulernen war echt interessant. Ich bin gespannt auf die Bücher der anderen Charaktere die angeteased wurden. Leider hat Damien wohl noch kein Buch bekommt aber noch eines. Cannot wait. ENG: I personally think this is a very good book. Sometimes it was a bit to spicy for my taste. But i loved the dynamic from the main characters. I really liked to get to know more about the Mafia world in Rina kents Universe. I am so excited to know more about the other characters that were teased here. But i am so sad that Damien will get a book but its not written at this point. I am so interested in his story
It's been a long time since I read a book that captivated me as much as this one. I couldn't put this book down because I found it very exciting. Things I liked: Rai: - I love confident characters and Rai is definitely one of them. Kyle: - Holy shit, I love this man and his way of talking Kyle & Rai: - I love the way the tension between the two has stayed. Writing style: - It was described in such detail that I almost had the feeling of living in this world myself. Things I hated: Nothing! This book has now become one of my favorites and I'm curious to see how it will continue in the next book after this nasty cliffhanger.
I really liked this one and the characters are just sooooo amazing. Rai is such a cool woman and I could really feel with her and understand why she hated Kyle that much. I was eager to read this one to see what Nikolai, maya and Mia’s parents were like when they were young. And I have to say…. The Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Nikolai is so much like his dad and Mia is like her mom. I could totally understand why Rai had to marry Kyle and didn’t want the 20 year old Anastasia to get married to a random guy. She did it herself to protect Ana. I loved how Kyle already estimated that Rai is going to marry him because he knew how she would react. I liked reading about their relationship and their past. Also all the parts where they were fighting or in shooting scenes were thrilling to read. I loved seeing Rai fighting because I just love strong fmcs. She is a worthy opponent for Kyle and they match their energies when together. I liked seeing how they were both using each other for different mafia things and how they started to admit that they had feelings for each other. I don’t know what happened at the end and who punched Rai but I guess I’ll figure that out in the next book.
