Stattdessen muss sich Sebastian mit einer Realität ohne der Frau, die er liebt, zurechtfinden, während Naomi auf einmal wieder in sein Leben stolpert und versucht, ihnen eine Zukunft zu geben. Wären da nicht sieben Jahre zwischen ihnen und eine Zweckehe.

Kann Spoiler zu Band 1 enthalten! 🚨 so geht’s mit Naomi & Sebastian weiter 💭 Naomi und Sebastian werden gefangen gehalten. Von wem ist noch unklar, aber wer ein bisschen aufgepasst hat, konnte es sich schon denken.. Naomi macht im 2. Band nun endlich Bekanntschaft mit ihrem Vater. Ob sie das bereuen wird, nachdem sie so lange nach ihm gesucht hat? Was passiert mit ihr und Sebastian? so fand ichs 🤭 Ich wusste verdammt nochmal dass Band 2 um Welten besser wird als Band 1! Ich dachte ja oke typische Dark Romance von Rina mit bisschen Sport im Vordergrund - ja falsch gedacht 😂 Bei der geht halt echt nichts ohne Mafia oder Waffen 🪽 dafür lieb ich sie aber 💁🏽♀️ Es war ab Seite 1 so spannend ich habe dieses Buch in 1,5 Tagen weggelesen, weil es so voller Emotionen, Twists und Tension war - oh Gott steh mir bei 💀 Absolute Empfehlung!!
This book did really frustrate me. Seriously. I was in pain myself as I read it because of the time skip… But never the less i loved the book… Even tho the ending felt a bit rushed and the whole time they were apart was kind of unnecessary? Cuz why didn’t they just do that instead of basically dying of pain bro.

For me this book has three parts: Part 1: chapter 1-14 – aka the good part aka the part I liked aka the part where I thought everything would be great The book started pretty great. I do like the first 26% a lot. So much angst, so much love… Part 2: chapter 15-33 aka the “please make it stop, I don‘t want this“ part My title for this part says it all. And way down we go. After starting off so great, the fall is devastating. A 7 year-lapse in time, and the characters I love feel unrecognizable after this. I don‘t think Sebastians career path fits the version of him I got to know in ‘Red Thorns‘ and the first 26% of this book, and the audacity that he pins their separation on Naomi…just leave me alone. And Naomi? I don‘t want to spoiler, but where is my Manga and True Crime loving grump? Where is she? I‘m so disappointed by this, and angry. Part 3: chapter 34-until the end aka the okay-ish ending after the disappointment The ending is okay. At least they find their way back to each other and get a happy ending. I like the pen pal-plot twist. 2.5/5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
I actually liked this book better than the first one. The story about how they got kidnapped was really good. Also it was interesting to see how Naomi found her father again. There were a lot of plot twists at the end and I didn’t expect Naomi’s father to be the one who killed Sebastian’s parents. The way they met again after 7 years was just perfect. They couldn’t keep their hands to themselves even though Naomi was married to another man. Finding out that Akira had an affair with ren was just very unpredictable. I liked it though. There was a lot going on in this book and all in all very interesting to read.

EN: It started with an heartbreaking event. I cried my eyes out. I really felt their pain and what they went through. I cant wrap my head around the fact that so many people dont like this duet, their story or dynamic. I loved it. I do not share the option that his choice of his future and job didn't make sense, because i think it was obvious that it would be that way. His reaction and how he acted was logical. Just underrated duet. DE: Es fing an mit einem wirklich schrecklichem Ereignis, ich hab mir die Augen ausgeheult. Ich hab wirklich mitgefühlt mich den Charakteren und ich kann nicht nachvollziehen das so viele dieses Duet nicht mögen. Ich habs geliebt. Ich liebe ihre story, die dynamic, einfach alles. Ich bin nicht der selben Meinung wie viele, das seine Entscheidungen über seine Zukunft keinen Sinn macht. Denn ich fand es war von anfang an sehr klar das er diesen Weg einschlagen würde. Wirklich unterschätzes Duet.
THIS was one if my favorite books 2025! Ich LIEBE den second-chance-trope. Nachdem die beiden entführt wurden und Naomi es mit Sebastian beendet hat, haben sich die beiden 7 Jahre nicht gesehen. Eines Abends, auf einem Event, sehen sich die zwei zum ersten Mal wieder. Naomi taucht an der Seite eines anderen Mannes auf. (Arranged marriage) Die Zwei fangen an sich heimlich zu treffen. Er gibt nicht auf und kämpft weiter um sie. Naomi erzählt ihm auch, nach einiger Zeit, die wahren Gründe weshalb sie geheiratet hat - nämlich um Sebastian zu retten. Doch am Ende wird Sebastian ERNEUT entführt. Als Naomi das erfuhr hat sie alles getan um ihn zu befreien und sich gegen ihren eigenen Vater gestellt. Ich liebe jede Seite dieses Buchs! Bin soo durch geflogen. Ihr MÜSST das Duet lesen!😭
