Was war das schon wieder für ein schnelles READ oh Gott 😯 Ich würd sagen der Rina-Kent-March wurde eröffnet 🙂↔️ darum gehts 💭 Naomi ist ein bisschen die Außenseiterin an ihrer Schule, ist Cheerleaderin (wenn auch nicht die beste) und hat schon ewig einen Crush auf Star-Quarterback Sebastian. Die anderen Cheerleaderinnen sind echte Bitches und wollen Naomi eine Lektion erteilen. Und genau da kommt Sebastian ins Spiel… & so fand ichs 💁🏽♀️ Das Buch war von Anfang an spannend geschrieben. Rina weiß, wie sie einen in den Bann ihrer Story zieht 🌶️ Was ich nicht verstanden habe (aber noch aufgeklärt werden kann im 2. Band), ist die Brieffreundschaft mit Akira… Hat irgendwie nicht ins Buch gepasst und ich versteh bis jetzt die Rolle dieser Person nicht 🥸 Der Spice war wie immer extrem heiß 🥵 wir lieben Rina Kent Smut 🌶️ UFF Das Ende hat mich so aus den Socken gehauen ich dachte mir bis zur vorletzten Seite Joa war eine ganz geile College Dark Romance von der Queen itself mit ganz schön geilen „Spice it up“-Momenten aber das ENDE 🆘 Kompletter Turn und ich bin direkt mal in Band 2 reingejumped. 🪂 Warum nur 4⭐️? Weil ich weiß, dass der zweite Band ein 5⭐️-Read und noch viel besser sein wird

Ein etwas anderes Rina Kent Buch. Das war bis jetzt das schwächste Buch von ihr. Das Setting war gut und die Thrill Elemente im Buch waren sehr gut gemacht. Irgendwas hat mir aber an der Story gefehlt. Es ging mir etwas zu schnell und der Plott war wie in gefühlt jedem Romance Buch.

Da war kaum einer. Sebastian und Naomi kennt man aus Reinas Buch bereits, also aus All the Lies. Wenn man Rais Geschichte gelesen hat (Throne of Power), dann trifft man hier wieder auf Kai und so besteht eine Verbindung zur Yakuza. Und da habe ich eine ganz starke Vermutung, wie Naomi mit denen in Verbindung steht. Potential war definitiv da, blieb aber ungenutzt. Kann man sich die Story der beiden sparen? Aktuell würde ich sagen ja. Dennoch lese ich Band 2 noch und dann mal schauen.
Ich liebe die Bücher von Rina Kent aber den Teil musste ich wirklich abbrechen... Die Story hat mich schon nicht wirklich gecatcht und nachdem Naomi ihr erstes Mal mit Sebastian hatte, habe ich es dann weggelegt. Sorry aber es hat für mich nicht mal ansatzweise so gewirkt als ob sie das wirklich gewollt hat und es hat sich einfach falsch angefühlt. 😕
Hat mich sehr stark an Anna Todd und "After Passion" erinnert - it all started with a bet....ja und daraus resultiert die große Liebe. Geht um ganz schön kaputte Themen und kinks, man sollte definitiv vorher die Trigger Warnung lesen, das ist definitiv nicht Rina Kents leichteste Lektüre. Gab am Ende noch einen Cliffhanger der ganz gut war!
Genre: Dark Romance 🌶️: 3/5 Trope: cnc, bet -definitiv nicht das stärkste von Rina Kents Büchern -komme mit den Protagonisten und ihren Kinks nicht gut klar -die Spice Szenen waren wirklich bisschen verstörend und ich musste sie teilweise skippen (und normalerweise lese ich fast alles😂) -hoffe der zweite Teil wird besser -trotzdem ist es spannend und ich werde weiterlesen
Sebastian ist ein Quarterback und Naomi eine Cheerleaderin. Reine schließt mit Sebastian eine Wette ab, dass er mit Naomi schlafen soll. Doch was ist wenn s für ihn gar nicht um die Wette geht? Ich war hooked mit diesem Buch! Es war soo spannend zu lesen. Habe mich als gefragt, wann es auffliegt und wie es Noami rausfinden wird. Für Sebastian war es nie eine Wette. Er hat sie zuvor 3 Jahre beobachtet und die Wette als Möglichkeit gesehen, den ersten Schritt zu machen. Während sich die beiden näher kennenlernen hat Naomi auch noch einen Brieffreund und ist auf der Suche nach ihrem Papa. Denn Naomi‘s Mama ist mir ihr aus Japan geflüchtet. Der Grund? Ihr Vater. Eines Tages stehen 2 mysteriöse Männer bei ihr zuhause und reden mit der Mutter. Zwischenzeitlich ist aufgeflogen, dass es eine Wette war. Sebastian versucht ihr zu erklären, dass es seinerseits nicht so war und es für ihn viel mehr ist als das. Als sich die beiden eines Abends zufällig treffen, werden sie von den zwei Männern verfolgt und Sebastian wird angeschossen. Big recommendation. Bin schon am zweiten Teil dran.😍

Als die Autorin sagte dies sei ihre dunkelste Reihe bisher, habe ich definitiv mehr erwartet. Das Meiste war jedes Mal ziemlich ähnlicher Smut. Und don't get me wrong, als ich diesen Kink im Losers Duet gelesen habe, habe ich es geliebt. Hier hat mir aber irgendwie die Chemie zwischen den Charakteren gefehlt. Die Verbindung zwischen beiden war wirklich ausschließlich physisch. Die Momente, die sie laut dem Buch ohne Sex miteinander hatten, wurden nicht gezeigt, sondern nur mal in Nebensätzen erwähnt. Sebastian selbst hat für mich nur so meh. Naomi eigentlich auch, aber ich finde zumindest die Backstory mit ihrem Vater irgendwie spannend.

Naomi and Sebastian have a great dynamic. After all the miscommunication between Reina and Asher in the previous books, I am so very glad that these two communicate so much better. Their conversations are a part I enjoyed so much, and I hope they‘ll continue this way in the second book of the duet. I like that Sebastian doesn‘t really care about the bet, and pretty fast sees more in her than that. Though I have to say, after having read (I think) 13 books by Rina so far, the (sexual) dynamic with him being the dominant and her being the submissive gets a bit old… (no k!nk shaming! It just seems to be the standard that the FMC is the submissive one, and I think that’s a over-used dynamic) As always it‘s the suspense elements that have me hooked. The mystery surrounding Naomi and her mother definitely has me on my toes, also including Naomi‘s mysterious pen pal. I have a few theories, and I‘m so very excited to find out if I‘m right. The cliffhanger is mean, I love it, maybe it‘s one of the meanest by Rina so far, right next to the one of ‘Deviant King‘. 4/5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
3 stars for Naomi I was really excited about this book ever since I read reina's and asher's story. Sebastian and Naomi, even back then, were my Fave couple and I knew we'd get a book with them. Unfortunately this isn't what I expected it to be. Sebastian is kinda meh to me. I do find him interesting but not as I should, I guess. He's OK. He's mediocre at best. I loved him more in reina's book. Lucy is a character I wouldn't be able to forgive and honestly I really don't like her. Who needs enemies when you have a friend like her. She's a backstabbing weakling, hiding behind tears. Yeah, maybe I'm just a bitter and spiteful person but I could never forgive her and if I were Naomi I'd tell her to F off. I loved Naomi tho. She's probably my favorite Rina Kent character. I guess I relate to her a lot which makes me love her but even I can't deny that she is a typical cliché. The second she was called tsundere I wanted to jump out of the window. Now on to her kink and back story: I can absolutely understand where she's coming from and why she's reacting the way she reacting. It was interesting reading it in a story and seeing how it's being dealt with. Since we've already had some mafias in rina's stories, I assume this will be about the yakuza. I'm really excited for this, especially for her dad. I also assume her dad or someone from the yakuza will deal with Sebastian's grandparents. I really hope someone ends them, lol. I'm counting the days for the next part. If there's one thing I love it's rina's books because they keep me interested and busy even when I don't like smth 100%. Not many writers manage that which is why she's one of my favorite writers.

EN: Totally underrated couple and book tbh. I love both of them and their story. The chemistry unmatched. I really liked Naomi. I felt like she could be my best friend and i just love her. Sebastian is a very interesting character. The fight in her mind with if she should really like all this stuff is very interesting and i think realistic. I cannot really say much about it except i just loved it. (very spicy) DE: Dieses Buch war so verdammt gut und ich versteh denn hass nicht ganz beziehungsweise das so viele es nicht mögen. Ich hab Naomi geliebt. Wenn es sie wirklich geben würde glaube ich, wären wir beste Freundinnen. Ich mochte den Kampf denn sie mit sich selbst hatte, darüber ob sie das was passiert wirklich mögen sollte oder darf. Fand ich sehr interessant. Mir fehlen die Worte, da ich dieses Buch wirklich einfach geliebt habe. (sehr spicy)
The book was not as good as the previous Rina Kent books but still okay. The characters didn’t feel as authentic as usual and the story didn’t appeal to me that much. I still think it’s an interesting book and definitely not bad or anything. Sebastian was just cruel to take Reina’s bet and try to fuck Naomi. The scene where she found out about everything broke my heart. As well as when her mom told her about her disease. I kind of thought that Sebastian’s grandparents were going to hurt Naomi but that hasn’t happened yet. I’m still suspicious of them because they did kill Sebastian’s parents back in the day. I can’t wait to find out who was chasing Naomi in the last chapter and who shot Sebastian.
