I think the fact that I read this book in one day speaks for itself. It was soooo good. I thought that the first book in the series was amazing but this one tops it all. The tension between Raphael and Penelope was to die for. He is just THE perfect broody and mysterious book boyfriend. I can’t say much more than that it was an amazing book. I rarely finish books in one day but with this one I didn’t even have to try hard. I can’t wait to read the next one because I want to know how much more hot the tension can get between these two.
This book is even better than the first one and I am in LOVE with Rafe and Penny. The games, the tension…omg!! Raphael Visconti might be my favorite made man ever! And Penny I love her wittiness , how fearless, strong and smart she is. She is not one bit afraid of a Visconti. I am super excited for Sinners Consumed!!!
I absolutely loved this book. I would give it 6/5 stars if I could. The tension between Penelope and Raphael is just soooooo good. He’s incredibly obsessed with her and listens to everything she says and builds her bookshelf’s for books she mentioned once. The whole “notebook kissing scene” was soooo good it actually made me cry. I am so utterly in love with these characters and I’ll miss them. This is the absolute best book boyfriend like EVER. I don’t think that I’m ever gonna be as obsessed over a character ever again. From now on all the book men have to compete against Raphael. And I don’t think anyone is ever gonna beat him. I absolutely recommend this book. 11/10

Meiner Meinung nach nicht ganz so leichter Schreibstil. Trotzdem gute Tension zwischen Penny und Rafe aber sehr viel Slow Burn 👀 Die Strip Szene im Auto 🥵🌶 Bisher nicht ganz so viel Plot deswegen hatte es sich auch gerade am Anfang etwas gezogen... habe aber höhere Erwartungen an den 2. Teil 🫶🏼
Too much spicy scenes
Such a great book but I've gotta say that the second book of the series (sinners condemned) is way better. I was a bit dissapointed at the start because it had too much spicy scenes for my taste and it destroyed the slow burn of Rafe and Penny for me. But luckily the book became better in the end so I am still giving the book 4 stars.
damn that was amazing. Need the sequel immediately. Sinners Condemned is the first book in the duologie for Rafe and Penny. And they did not disappoint. Not at all. Penny is the badass lead I love to read about it. She’s fierce and knows her way around life. Yes, it hasn’t always worked out perfectly and life has not been easy for the young woman. But she’s not someone to back down from a challenge or give up. And I loved her character for exactly that. She’s inspiring [maybe not her tendency to commit to theft] and in some kind a role model. [again, not the theft and illegal habits parts]. But she’s strong and doesn’t believe in male supremacy. She bites back. And that’s the part where she has role model power - just because you are a woman doesn’t mean you have to be weak or stupid. And the sass. This woman. Wow. And in the other side of this hot pair - Raphael Visconti. The second brother of the brother trio that intrigued me already in the first book in the series. He’s not the usual made men. Unlike his brother, hot heated and quick on the trigger, he is the gentlemen. All business and games. He doesn’t do the dirt like the usual mafia man. He demands it to be done. Or so it always was. Until he meets Penny. She makes him loose his gentleman etiquette. Or was it all facade? He makes her forget why she came to Cove in the first place. A dangerous combination. A thrilling pair. They make for an intriguing smoking hot couple with some amazing banter and some damn girl lines being thrown at each other’s heads. [yes some are damn boy ]. And some very satisfying moments when you are just in awe of the badassness of Penny and Rafe. [yes this is now a word.] Prepare for dialogues with just the right amount of everything. Humor. Tension. Bets and lots of bets. Intriguing rewards. Their interactions? worthy of an award. The characters slayed to the moon and back. As did the romance. And the spice. And the plot. Can’t wait for the second book and am already missing this chaotic couple who is always up for a new game. If you enjoy some proximity due to bets, games and everything Casino. Or you don’t [you will afterwards] and just like your hero’s and heroines to be not so morally white like a clean sheet and more the questionable but therefore even more hot - then pick up this book. It will not disappoint. And yes this was in magical ways even better than the first one in this series. I’m sorry Rory and Vicious. Please don’t shoot me. But Penny and Rafe as characters just hit different. ——————second read: I second everything my past self said. This series will never be topped in the mafia romance genre. 5
It was easy to read simply because theire was always something going on. I can put up with a lot of things in this book, but not with the main couple. its like two people with parental issues met each other. He act like she ist a literal child and she acts like he is her father. It felt like reading underage adult movies. Not to mention how every women in this book is portraid as nothing more than a stupid prostitude, as nearly wordly quoted from the book. Also the love interest angelo is introduced as different in this aspect, while he sirtenly is not different, he treads her exactly the same, he just stops to see her as a gold digging prostitude because all of the rumors about her are false, not because he is truly different from the misogynic men in the book.
I liked the other two books more. This was still fun, but I felt like to make this story into two books, there were many unnecessary and annoying things. I really dislike the whole „they have a fight in the middle of the book so it takes 100 pages longer for them to actually be together“ thing. So that was a little disappointing. All in all however it was still enjoyable and I still liked it.
Eher 2,5 Sterne. Overall the story just kept on dragging on. At some point I just got bored. The author throws out hints to dark secrets which fall flat. Somehow I was expecting Rory to have killed her abusers and dug their graves in the forest which made her sign the contract. Just the fact she agreed to marry this old guy for the sake of her father having more lucid moments was even more crazy. In the middle of the book I really felt the chemistry between the main characters but as soon as they got together the connection dwindled. I was missing a stronger red thread. Why not letting them get to know each other better while searching for the assassin of his mother? For me there were just too many story elements introduced which were forgotten about later on.
after finishing the first part, I was really excited about the second so I started off immediately. But even though the tension between the characters was there, they were just so distant to each other. It was mostly hard for me to accept what was happening between them. To the end obviously everything got better and they made up. They found each other, but I think we could have gotten more of the development of their relationship, which I missed.

Initially i was feeling a little hesitant to rate this 5 stars, but I'm not going to deny a book its proper rating just because of the genre it belongs to. This book had me bombarding Stephanie with updates the likes of "screaming in my pillow", "UGH these two", "the tension *chef's kiss*" etc. so ... there's that. I already enjoyed Sinners Annonymous so much, but I felt like i loved Rafe and Penny even more. She's a proper badass, makes him eat his words over and over again, makes him beg, is always up for the challenge that is their banter and I could rarely guess who would walk out of a confrontation having the upper hand. And Rafe? That man is pure fire. He likes to uphold that ice-cold facade, but don't be fooled, there's a devil inside and he's breaking loose. That being said, this is a slowburn if I've ever read one of the dark mafia genre. If you need story to progress faster, this might not be your favourite read. Also, if you value the fast progression of the plot over the slow developement between two characters. It's not too spicy, but the scenes there are? Ooof! I'd definitely recommend reading Sinners Anonymous before this. Can I just say how much I loved this, once more? Thank you. Now I'm done. Now to wait another two days for the second book in the duet like the amateur I am for not checking the publication date earlier.
This book, just like the first was like a drug to me. I couldn’t put it down! It’s SO MUCH FUN!!! I love the banter and the stupid, petty behaviour of both of them. It was AWESOME. One of the best dark romance books I’ve read. There’s really not much to say, other than: This book had me giggling the entire time and screaming at them to FINALLY give in. However the tension the entire time was so delicious, so I’m kinda glad we get two books out of their story, because it’s worth it! Can’t wait to read the next one.
„Rory?“ „Yes?“ „Out of all my sins, you’re my favorite.“ Its a 3.5-4⭐️ read for me. Honestly i liked the book a lot but sometimes u cringed. Especially when Rory always said ,,I am Rory Carter and i do bad things“. I love the way he talks about her but it really annoyed me that it took him so long to save her. I am lowkey also sad that Rory didn’t go trough with her Plan and waited for Angelo to save her. I loved their relationship at start a lot. Especially the forbidden and secret engagings. I also really liked the idea of „Tell me/ ask me for a sin“. It was a goof book and i am really exited to start Rafes book bcs i liked him a lotttttttt.
i dont know how Somme Sketcher does it. If she found a way to put drugs in her writings. But reading her books makes me feel high in the best way possible. “If I drown, you’re drowning with me. If you burn, I’m burning too. Pick your route to hell, Rafe. The destination and the company are the same.” I said it already in my review for Sinners Condemned but I adore Penny. And I’m madly obsessed with Rafe. The book takes off right where we left. And takes you on a journey that leaves you in a hot-cold bath between amused and laughing your ass of to hot and sweating in the course of seconds. Penny still is the badass lead I love to read about it and I’m sure we all fell in love with in the first book. She continues to amaze me with her sassy lines and jokes and unwillingness to let anything drag her down. And in the other side of this hot pair - Raphael Visconti. The second brother of the brother trio that i fell in love with head over heels in Sinners Condemned. He managed to make me faint within the first few pages into the book. Like I said - Somme Sketcher has put some drugs into her books. I can’t explain it otherwise. I devoured this the second I had my copy and time went by in a blur whilst I was enjoying the shit out of Rafe and Pennys teasing, fucking and their bets. I was giggling. Smiling. Screaming. Crying. I experienced all the feelings reading this. These two make for a dangerous combination. A thrilling pair. An smoking hot couple with some amazing banter and some damn girl lines being thrown at each other’s heads. [yes some are damn boy ]. And some very satisfying moments when you are just in awe of the badassness of Penny and Rafe. [yes this is now a word.] Prepare for dialogues with just the right amount of everything. Humor. Tension. Bets and lots of bets. Intriguing rewards. Their interactions? worthy of an award. And lets just say. All the teasing in the first part of their journey finally got to an end. Prepare for some really hot scenes that will demand a bath in holy water afterwards. ….so basically everything we experienced and loved about them in the first part of the duet is back again with even more spice and game.
