Nach jedem Buch der Reihe denke ich 5 Sterne und dann lese ich das nächste der Reihe und frage mich wie es den Vorgänger noch übertreffen konnte. Nicht nur die Hauptprotagonisten, auch die Nebencharaktere haben so viel Tiefe. Die Reihe hat einfach alles was man sich in einer guten Fantasyreihe wünscht!

Dianna bleibt meine absolute Lieblingsprotagonistin und ist ohne Zweifel der Hauptstar dieser Reihe. Ich liebe die Komplexität ihres Charakters – ihre Schwächen machen sie perfekt. Sie hat Tiefe und viele Facetten, und sie kümmert sich so sehr um ihre Liebsten, dass sie bereit ist, alles zu tun, um sie zu schützen. Auch jetzt würde ich sagen, dass sie moralisch fragwürdig ist und sich dessen bewusst, aber absolut unbeeindruckt davon ist. Ich bin gespannt, wohin Amber V. Nicole ihre Geschichte führen wird, denn obwohl Dianna jetzt die Königin von Reasharim ist, scheint ihr das Schicksal der Reiche ziemlich egal zu sein. Samkiel liebe ich immer noch. Er ist ein wahrer Held, der Inbegriff eines Ritters in glänzender Rüstung. Einer meiner Lieblingsmomente war, als er Dianna zurechtwies, weil sie versucht hatte, ihn in einer anderen Gestalt zu verführen, und sagte: „With all due respect, akrai, do not compare me to him or what you've experienced with your past lovers. I don't need nor want any other form but the one you wear daily. Do you understand?” Dieser Moment half, die gebrochenen Teile von Dianna zu heilen, die sich ständig fühlt, als sei sie nicht genug. Wie gewohnt bringt Amber mich dazu, an meinem Verstand zu zweifeln, denn aus irgendeinem Grund habe ich Mitleid mit Kaden. Auch er hatte nie die Möglichkeit, Liebe zu erfahren oder das Gefühl, genug zu sein. Wenn du mich fragst, ist ihr Vater der wahre Bösewicht der Geschichte. Ich bin also gespannt, wie sich das entwickeln wird. Auch wenn mir die verschiedenen Perspektiven und Nebencharaktere – wie die sich anbahnenden Liebesgeschichten zwischen Vincent und Camilla oder Imogen und Isaiah (wie soll das bitte funktionieren?) – sehr gefallen haben, fehlte ihren Geschichten oft die Tiefe, da es so viele Wechsel zwischen den Erzählsträngen gab. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass die komplexen Gefühle in diesen Beziehungen intensiver erkundet worden wären, so wie bei Dianna und Samkiel in den ersten beiden Büchern. Diese ständigen Wechsel haben die Geschichte etwas in die Länge gezogen. Ich bin nicht so durch das Buch geflogen wie bei den ersten beiden, obwohl ich die erzählerische Tiefe trotzdem zu schätzen weiß. Aber ehrlich gesagt freue ich mich riesig auf die Fortsetzung dieser Reihe. Ich liebe die "Found Family"-Vibes, die Spannung zwischen den Charakteren und all die Geheimnisse, die wir noch entdecken werden. Und am allerwichtigsten: Ich möchte mehr über meine absolute Lieblingsfigur Dianna lesen!
I wasn’t sure about this series but it got better and better each book. So many twists you couldn’t predict
It’s my first Enemies to lovers where she’s the dark one and I love it beyond words. Parts of me healed reading Samkiels POVs and her character arc in general. Her fearlessness is admirable though it sometimes is her flaw. Who doesn’t long for the bond that they have and to have someone to fiercely protect them like they do? I love the deeper insights into the hand aswell and their own journeys. I’m glad I don’t have to wait too long til the last book comes out

She never left him, nor he her, as if they danced around each other for eternity. „I knew I‘d burn oceans to mist, skies to dust, and worlds to rubble to keep him near. I AM OFFICIALLY DESTROYED. EXCUSE ME, BUT HOW AM I EXPECTED TO WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT AND YOU'RE TELLING ME THERE'S THREE MORE BOOKS AFTER THAT AS WELL?! I don't even know where to start. I am speechless. The events from the last book has played a big role in setting the whole plot for this one. During 2/3 of the book I could not stop myself shouting at Dianna to just FUCKING CONFESS. How in the hell is keeping it to herself going to solve anything? Literally the only other person who would know what to do with the fact Dianna brought Samkiel back was Samkiel himself. Yes Reggie was a good option, but he couldn't say much else. I was so freaking frustrated at Dianna for the most part in this book. Me the whole time: JUST FUCKING TELL HIM, GOD. We received a LOT of POVs in this one. But it's also safe to say that I'm super happy that we did! Redemption arc on Vincent's character. I was so ready to continue on hating him but then we got on a whole new depth to his character and my heart was on fucking clutches. Tbh, I did not expect Kaden to die. I wish for the Camilla-Vincent-Kaden threesome to be a reality. Like please let this be. Especially now we know that Kaden was resurrected. Hopefully now he gets the gist that Dianna is never ever ever coming back to him in any way possible. And then he can finally move on and start building the relationship with Camilla. I NEEDED and WAITED for Cameron and Xavier content. With how Amber left their story in the previous book, I needed them to be okay again. Alas, we're not getting that in this book. So I guess I still need to be patient. Oh and by the way, right before we close everything up. The Gods are here. YEP. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. They were The Eye this whole fucking time and Unir is fucking here. Sami's fucking Daddy is in the house, y'all. Shit's about to get down in the next one. I'm grateful in a way for Amber to leave us with this ending because I could definitely imagine a way crueler cliffhanger. At least this one's not tearing my heart from my soul to bits. Excuse my ass, but I will be deep diving to Omegaverse and why-choose romances for a long while. As long as it's going to take for me to recover mentally from this book.
