But it was not this world. No, it was mine.
It was Dianna.
The world quakes in fear as the last shred of Dianna’s humanity is ripped from her. As it should. Grief consumes Dianna, burning away any semblance of good within her and threatening the budding relationship between her and Liam. Now, Liam must pull her back from the brink of complete damnation before time runs out.

I loved this book. It's the second Band from the gods and monsters series and really catch me. Dianna is furious after Gabbys death and is set on revenge in which she almost destroys the whole world (Onuna). She didn't let anyone neat her but Samkiel did not give up and won her over again. I enjoyed reading how she would strike next and loved the way Samkiel and the others often were a step behind. Throughout the book we're a lot of unexpected plot twist like (Spoiler) Gabby not being her sister by blood or tha Kaden needed her for what was to come. There were lots of different POV's which was awesome to get others opinions and thought but also was a little confusing every now and than. Samkiels will learn how much betrayal can hurt and everyone ( except Dianna) will turn on him. I liked that they were also talking a lot about loss, depression and how to help one another to overcome they're fears and grief. It has an open ending and the third band will for sure be thrilling super intriguing written. Very nice written and great plot 4.5/5
OFFICIALLY MY FIRST 5 STAR READ THIS YEAR. This bad boy was THICK and there was not ONE SINGLE LINE OF SENTENCE that I skimmed. I read them all front to back. Finished it in 3 days time and could not put it down even to take a shit. I can't believe all of these revelations to the Gods, Dianna and Samkiel himself. What the actual fuck? Kaden suddenly having a character depth and showing to us readers how he's actually been in love with Dianna this whole time but probably has no idea how to show it was definitely not in the cards for me. Please, God, do not let this be another Rhysand-Tamlin-debacle. Because I am head over heels for Samkiel a.k.a. Sami. The tension in this book. UGH. I could devour this without any spice for DAYS. Now this is how you write TENSION. I loved all the scenes where they were like a literal family and had those moments at the beach and the dinner party. My heart aches so fucking bad for Dianna. I can't even start with Vincent's betrayal. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. I thought, he was just going to be the hardest to get onto her side. But, no.. What the fuck were his motives, man. Kaden turning out to be Liam's brother, what the actual fuck. Well, this review concludes perfectly how I was during this whole book: WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. I'm never going to be ready to read the next book, most of all I won't be ready to wait for the book after that and the one after that and most of all then the finale. God.
