Definitiv einer meiner liebsten Weihnachtsromane dieses Jahr … Atlas „Max“ Maxheimer ist eine kleine Drama-Queen mit einer schrägen, aber liebenswerten Persönlichkeit, und Betty ist sein perfektes Gegenstück, da sie seinen Charakter mit ihren eigenen Exzentrizitäten widerspiegelt. Zusammen sind sie schrullig und spicy 🌶️ Ich fand auch den Twist mit dem Erzähler toll … sowie die Interaktion zwischen dem Erzähler und Max am Anfang der Kapitel. Ich habe das ganze Buch über gelacht und jede verrückte Situation und jedes Gespräch genossen. Und die Idee mit der Popcorngirlande ist echt kreativ! 🫣
• "I'm getting nervous, because I, um, I really have a liking for you." I chuckle. "I really have a liking for you as well." • Betty kam in die Stadt, um für ihren Onkel eine Weihnachtsbaumfarm zu eröffnen – der Max hasste. Und Max hat den ultimativen Plan, sie abzulenken, indem er sie dazu bringt, sich in ihn zu verlieben und ihr das Herz zu brechen. Aber durch diesen Plan verliebt er sich tatsächlich in die Person, die so perfekt zu seiner Energie passt. Alles scheint perfekt, als würden sie sich schon ewig kennen, doch sein ursprünglicher Plan wird ihn früher oder später einholen, denn er muss Betty beweisen, dass er kein Lügner oder Manipulator ist. Also helfen ihm die Stadt und ihre Bewohner, eine große Geste zu planen.
Man weiß einfach was man bekommt, wenn man Meghan liest - 100% Lesefreude
Ich liiiebe die Idee von Kringletown immer noch. Ein Dorf wo es ganzjährig Weihnachtsspirit gibt - und Teil 2 war einfach noch besser wie der Erste. Cole war schon super cool aber Max 🤣 Bin schon gespannt um wen es in Band 3 geht 🫶🏼
