I barely made it through the last pages it was such a drag

right off the bat, it was pretty cool. I liked the introduction to this story. But then it failed to keep the tension. Incredibly repetitive. How many times do you want to go on about the same thought process yet not gaining any insights? The description of Jacks (protagonist) physical state is so redundant and often even reheats the same words over and over again. Also, her paranoia while being on the run makes sense but wasn't translated to the reader very well. It seemed more like unnecessary skittishness rather than reasonable spinechill. I would have loved to get a couple of chapters from the polices POV... to make it a real cat and mouse game. Unfortunately, as is, Jack seems like a fugitive who is out of her depth and gets out of sticky situations through dumb luck. And the epilogue I could have done without. I hate it when a book is all pain and struggle and blood and then throws a cheeseball at you on the last two pages.
