Sehr unterhaltsam
Tolles Sprachgefühl, bunte Charaktere, super Stimmung und eine Spannung, die einen fesselt und in den Bann zieht. Hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht, mit Hercule Poirot auf Indiziensuche zu gehen. Ich gebe zu, er hat wohl mehr Gespür dafür 😂 Mein erstes, aber definitiv nicht letztes Agatha Christie Buch.

Ich dachte ja, dass ich das Rästel gelöst hätte. Aber nicht da. Ich hatte die Auflösung während des Lesens in Betracht gezogen, aber mich am Ende auf etwas anderes versteift. 😅 und am Ende nur gedacht, oh ja; stimmt. Das ist plausibel. Ich liebe solche Bücher & vor allem Agatha Christie 🧡
This had a lot of the Christie novel charme but maybe less of its sharpness. It was the first Christie novel I've read that featured teenagers, which was interesting and created some situations and aspects that felt really fresh. Their were some really good lines and the setup was awesome. However, a lot of the conversations felt really repetitive and there were far too many characters to develope them all and really guess along who did it. Also, for me the ending wasn't that satisfying, because the big twist came out of nowhere and the reveal who did it just didn't evoke much of a response from me. There were also too many cases at once with all the past stuff. It was still a fun ride, I enjoy Poirot just being himself and just interrogating people is enough to keep me entertained, as well as this small town or village atmosphere. Also, is it just me or where some place descriptions more beautiful than in some of her other books? Not a favourite, still far from being bad.
Ich kann Poirot einfach nicht nicht mögen. Auch diese Geschichte lässt sich angenehm lesen (oder in meinem Fall hören), auch wenn es mich an manchen Stellen etwas gestört hat, wie kalt man über den Mord an einem jungen Mädchen redet. Deshalb ist diese Geschichte auch nicht unbedingt mein bisheriger Favorit, aber nichtsdestotrotz habe ich mich gut unterhalten und konnte wie immer miträtseln und mich überraschen lassen. Der zwischen den Zeilen hervorlugende Witz Agatha Christies macht das Ganze zu einem angenehmen Hörerlebnis - natürlich perfekt zur Halloween-Zeit.
