The Cabin at the End of the World

At a point I tore through the book with anticipation and dread to see what is going to happen to Wen and her Daddys. Where would the Author take me next? It was suspense and the human horror and also human heart in this story is superb. Paul Tremblay loads emotion and tension into every paragraph, so yo can’t put it down, hoping the nightmare of 4 Intruder’s into Wens, Andrews and Erics life ends well , while dread and terror colours every sentence! But the Author offers a terrible situation with no good outcome… With the Tone and Heart of Kings Misery and The long walk.

OBWOHL das Buch wirklich ewig lange Kapitel hat (7 auf knapp 350 Seiten glaube ich), konnte es mich auch zuhause an sich fesseln. Ich habe es so sehr vermisst, mich zuhause in Ruhe auf ein langes Buch (also abgesehen von Manga, Graphic Novel und Bilderbuch) einlassen zu können. Und dieses Buch hat es wirklich gut geschafft. Für mich war das Buch zwar nicht der größte psychologische Horror, den ich je gelesen habe, aber es hat mich so unterhalten, dass ich es in wenigen Tage beendet habe. Sowas habe ich unbedingt gebraucht und hoffentlich kann ich mich nun auch wieder meinen bereits begonnen Büchern zuhause widmen. Irgendwie habe ich das in letzter Zeit einfach nicht geschafft. 🙈 Kurz: Guter queerer, psychologischer Horror mit Suchtpotential! 💛
