anyone who gives this more than 1 star is dead ass lying cause wtf is this "bb please come over" "I'm writing my future" (literally thats it) "The universe exists because we are aware of it" (like that is another one sentence poem) I love my girl Lana to death but homegirl needs to stick to lyric writing because that is effortlessly poetic. im pretty sure i either wrote this myself when i was 14 and pretentious and depressed or have read this on tumblr i did enjoy the pictures though, would rather have a photography book by her
Eine wunderbare Sammlung von kurzen, süßen und ergreifenden Gedichten. "and think about the last time you were here lying next to me how the noise from the cars got louder and louder during rush hour until it sounded like a river or a stream and it felt like we were swimming but it wasn't just a dream we were just happy" Bevor ich mich zu den Gedichten selbst äußere, muss ich sagen, dass das Hörbucherlebnis einzigartig ist! Die von Lana vorgetragenen Verse harmonieren perfekt mit der von Jack Antonoff produzierten Hintergrundmusik. Es ist ein eindringliches Erlebnis, das bei einigen Gedichten überraschend ist (vor allem bei Bare Feet on Linoleum, FANTASTISCH!). Lana schüttet ihr Herz in ihren Gedichten aus, und ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Emotionen durchdringen. Ich bin zwar ein großer Fan von ihr, aber ihre Gedichte zeigen auch Seiten an ihr, die ich bisher nicht kannte. Ihre Poesie fließt schön, sei es durch Reime oder lockere Sätze. Für Fans ihrer Musik oder für Leute, die Poesie mögen, denke ich, dass ihre Gedichte aufgrund von Themen wie einem gebrochenen Herzen und seiner Genesung und den Themen der Selbstfindung und Vertrauensfragen mitschwingen werden. Zwischenzeitlich hat es mir nicht so gefallen, wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte. Ich bin keine große Lyrikexpertin, daher bin ich mir nicht ganz sicher, was die Begriffe angeht und wie Gedichte fließen sollten. Einige der Gedichte ändern auf halber Strecke ihre Struktur, was ein wenig irritierend war. Meine Lieblingsgedichte sind "Salamander", "Never to Heaven" und "Sportcruiser". Sie handeln davon, wie es ist, ein Schriftsteller und/oder Dichter zu sein und mehr zu fühlen als die meisten anderen und die Dinge mehr zu dramatisieren, indem man Reflexionen und Metaphern einbringt, die viele nicht verstehen. Lana uns ihre Seite als Dichterin, die bisher von ihrer gesanglichen Seite verdeckt war, und sie hat mit den vierzehn Gedichten auf "Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass" wirklich tolle Arbeit geleistet.
