Ich hab den 1. Teil geliebt und nach dem Ende musste ich unbedingt Teil 2 lesen. Die beiden Hauptcharaktere haben eine tolle Weiterentwicklung, die Story wird immer spannender und die Love Story ist so toll! 🥰 Besonders im letzten Drittel wird es immer besser! Freue mich schon auf den 3. Teil!
Romantasy Perfection ❤️🔥 Tension, Magic, Twists and Spice!
I loved learning more about the History of Thezmarr and Magic, rolling my eyes at Wren and Torj for being so stubborn (I want them to have a happy ending, ok? 🥹) and unfolding twists and turns as the story continued. It made me laugh and gasp, I had a lot of fun reading / listening! And the room definitely got hotter and hotter, not only due to the weather 😏🌶️ might have been a bit too much for my taste tbh, but well written nontheless. I am very much looking forward to the final book in this series and have a few thoughts how the plot might unfold - we'll see!
I can't possibly give this book less than 5 stars. The longing! Wren and Torj! They captured my heart and set it ablaze. I also will refuse to experience the next book any other way than this one - as an immersive reading experience. I need the book to catch all the details - but I'm also completely blown away by the narrators of the audiobook. They give all their passion into voicing these characters, and I found myself just stopping and staring while listening. So if you get a chance - get both the book and audiobook. I promise you won't be disappointed! I won't get into too much detail, as this is the sequel to Iron and Embers - but we're dealing with the aftermath of book 1, while also trying to find a new path, discover new strengths and uncover world-shattering secrets. While we have a dark academia setting in book 1, now our protagonists are on a journey. And I will admit that much of this book feels like getting everything ready for the big finale. But I honestly don't mind! As long as Wren and Torj are at the heart of everything, I will even read them doing basic chores for 600 pages. There's also side characters I can't wait to read more of in the next installment. Die Geschichte hat mich definitiv unterhalten, aber irgendwie fehlt einfach der Fluss. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass das Buch zu 70% aus „wieso will er mich nicht“ und „ich finde ihn so toll“ bestand und nur maximal zu 30% aus Handlung und dann ging immer alles ganz schnell und dann direkt wieder zurück zu Beziehungskrise. Das Ende kam auch absolut überstürzt. Also man hat schon gemerkt, dass da zu Beginn der Geschichte was eingebaut wurde, was am Ende noch wichtig ist, aber das war mE irgendwie wenig elegant gelöst und wurde nur hingehudelt
