It was lovely to return to this world and see where the story went next. Shelby Mahurin’s writing is as enchanting as ever, and I really enjoyed revisiting these characters. I just couldn’t fully get into the story this time — it’s been quite a while since I read the first book, so I think the connection wasn’t as strong as it could have been. Still, it’s a beautifully written continuation and fans of the series will definitely enjoy diving back in.
