5⭐️ Wow. This book was so much more than I ever expected. The story took a completely different direction than I thought it would and it was so much darker and more intense than I had imagined. I liked The Ask and the Answer even more than the first book in the series. I love multiple POVs and in this book Viola gets her own, which gives a whole new perspective to the whole story and the world of the book in general. At some points the story just tore my heart out, there were so many references to real world history, to horrible real world events, that it really made me sad at times. Despite these sad themes, I can really recommend this book (series) to everyone, it might surprise you. I'm SO excited for the last part of the series, can't wait!
