Eigentlich mein Lieblingsplot aber irgendwie hat die Anziehung gefehlt 🫣
Das Buch war schon gut, zwischendrin eine Hochzeit in Vegas aber so richtig ist der Funke nicht übergesprungen.. ich hätte nicht gedacht das mal zu sagen aber es waren glaube ich zu viele spicy Szenen und erst so in den letzten 100 Seiten konnte man meiner Meinung nach verstehen das da mehr ist 😅

Genau so ein Buch habe ich gebraucht. ♥️ Das Buch hatte alles was man braucht. Die Chemie zwischen den Hauptcharakteren hat von Anfang an gestimmt, es war lustig, emotional und kein bisschen langatmig. Die Goalies werden irgendwie immer am besten geschrieben. Auch mit Piper kann sich glaube ich jede Frau identifizieren. Eine schöne Story mit der richtigen Menge Spice ohne das es zu viel wirkt. Ich liebe die Reihe. 🐻❄️🏒
Ich hatte am Anfang des Buches gedacht, dass ich dieses Buch sehr mögen würde, aber die Story hat sich dann doch zu etwas komplett anderem entwickelt, als ich gehofft hatte…irgendwie verlorenes Potenzial. Leider kann ich darauf nicht näher eingehen, ohne stark zu spoilern, aber für mich waren einfach viel zu viele verschiedene tropes auf einmal enthalten. Wie auch im ersten Buch gibt es hier sehr viele explizite Szenen, die mir persönlich auf Dauer zu viel wurden (auch wenn sie im Kontext der Story/Handlung Sinn ergeben) und dadurch irgendwann einfach nur noch langweilig wirkten. Ich habe für meine Verhältnisse lange gebraucht, um das Buch zu beenden... Es war für mich persönlich viel länger, als es hätte sein müssen. Trotzdem die 2.5 Sterne, weil viele Stellen dann doch noch Spaß gemacht haben zu lesen
ach, wie ich diese Serie liebe! Auch Power Play hat mich sofort begeistert. Das neue Pärchen konnte ich direkt ins Herz schließen – ihre Chemie, die reife Kommunikation und die liebevoll gezeichnete Dynamik sind einfach top. Wie schon im letzten Band glänzt Chelsea Curto mit authentischen Beziehungen, bei denen man als Leserin einfach mitfühlen muss. Besonders positiv überrascht hat mich erneut die Darstellung von Migräne – realistisch, sensibel und endlich mal richtig (!) gemacht. Das findet man nur in wenigen Büchern und bedeutet mir viel. Dazu kommt: Es wird ordentlich spicy! Die Szenen sind intensiv, aber nie plump – genau richtig dosiert. Und die Tropes? Einfach toll umgesetzt. Eine perfekte Mischung aus Emotion, Hitze und Herz. Für mich ein absolutes Highlight!

Mal wieder ein sehr schönes Buch für zwischendurch. Man kommt schnell durch die Geschichte, habe es an einem Tag gelesen ☺️ Die storyline war ganz süß und ich mochte die Umsetzung auch gerne. Liam ist echt, die ganze Zeit, so eine Maus gewesen🫶🏻 Ich würde diesen Teil auch ungefähr gleich setzen, mit dem ersten. Wenn ich mal wieder ein einfaches Buch brauche, werde ich auf jedenfall zu den nächsten Teilen greifen😌 Was ich auch noch erwähnen muss…Ich finde super, dass es hier schon wieder keinen unnötigen breakup gab!👀
grumpy x sunshine; fake dating; marriage of convenience Oh, how I love a good fake dating story! Piper went through a divorce from her (utterly terrible) college love and now ex-husband. As he was her first and only, she feels lost when it comes to dating and especially intimacy. Liam is not interested in dating and love at all - his true love and passion is hockey. As Piper works for the Stars, Liam’s hockey team, they somehow happen to find themselves in a situation they can’t outrun. I was so excited to finally get to know Liam better! His character is unique and very grumpy, which I loooove! Piper’s character development really warmed my heart as you really grew confident with her. Overall, this was an amazing read, love the characters, love the spirit, can’t wait to continue the series. These books are just so easy to read, especially when you don’t want to read something incredibly difficult in terms of plot etc. The author transfers emotions really well through her writing style! However, this book was quite long, with almost 500 pages (for romance, imo) and definitely could’ve been shorter!

Ich hab nicht erwartet, dass ein Buch mit so viel spice auch eine vernünftige Geschichte haben kann. Aber Chelsea Curto hat genau das in diesem Buch geschafft. Nebenbei hat sie wichtige Themen wie Selbstliebe und Selbstfindung eingebaut und gezeigt, dass man sich nie unter seinem Wert verkaufen sollte oder sich mit dem Mindesten an Zuneigung zufrieden geben sollte. Piper bittet Liam darum, ihr nach ihrer gescheiterten Ehe, beizubringen wie man lockerer im Schlafzimmer wird und mit ihm herauszufinden, was sie gerne mag. Er stimmt dem zu, mit dem Gedanken, dass sie mit zu der Hochzeit seiner Schwester kommt, damit keine weiteren Fragen zu seinem Beziehungsstatus kommen. Sie einigen sich den Deal nach der Hochzeit niederzulegen, jedoch haben sie nicht damit gerechnet, dass sie sich nicht nur körperlich sondern auch emotional sehr nahe kommen. Was die ganze Sache nur interessanter macht, ist das sie zusammen arbeiten und keiner von ihrem Arrangement erfahren soll. Sie arbeitet als Sportmoderatorin in der Arena, in der er als Torhüter der Hockeymannschaft spielt.

Here we have flirty banter, “my wife”moments, funny group chats, female friendship, sex lessons, an accidental marriage and many sweet and spicy moments. @authorchelseacurto In Liam you described the perfect book boyfriend. He is grumpy, retrieving and focused on hockey. He is also attentive and supports Piper in finding back to herself. Between Piper and Liam you can see the hearts in their eyes Experiencing both falling in love with each other was dearest.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Easy 5 stars from me! This book had everything I want in a sports romance: the hockey aspect, banter, (a lot of)spice, found family, and that ending? Absolute perfection for Piper and Liam’s story. 🥹 If you loved Emily Rath’s Jacksonville Rays series or Liz Tomforde’s Windy City books, you’ll probably love this one too!
3.5⭐️ Sadly I did not like this as much as Face off, the story was important and very empowering but there werte just a few icks for me. It also felt very long and dragged out at points and I know it is not my favorite trope. Love the found Family tho, the characters are all so unique and witty. Also the writing? Amazing. The way she describes love, insane. Can‘t wait to Read Hudsons story!!
