Die vorgeschichtliche Siedlung bei Prunn, Gde. Riedenburg, Lkr. Kehlheim, Niederbayern

Die Befunde und Funde der im Jahre 1982 auf ca. 4.000 m2 durchgeführten vierzehnwöchigen Ausgrabung ,Prunn I" lassen auf rege Siedlungsaktivitäten während des Epipaläolithikums bzw. Frühmesolithikums, der frühen Bronzezeit [Br A2/B1] und der Späthallstatt-/Frühlatènezeit [Ha D/LT A] schließen, wovon alleine die 12.500 Keramikscherben zeugen. Das Mittelneolithikum und die Spätlatènezeit [LT D] sind mit Streufunden vertreten. Der Bronzezeit ließen sich fünfzehn Objekte zuweisen, die Keramik und Silices enthielten. Material der Späthallstatt-/ Frühlatènezeit bargen mindestens 33 Befunde. Das Fundspektrum reicht bis ins Mittelalter und in die Neuzeit. Insgesamt konnten 454 Objekte erkannt und im Katalog beschrieben werden, darunter Pfostengruben von Gebäuden und Siedlungsgruben. Hinzu kommt ein Verzeichnis der Sektoren- und Streufunde. Hervorzuheben ist ein späthallstatt-/frühlatènezeitlicher Hausgrundriß von 15 m auf 2,5 m mit apsidialem Abschluß und innerer Raumgliederung. In einem der Räume konnte anhand von mindestens 23 Webgewichten der Standort eines Webstuhles nachgewiesen werden. In 1982 during fourteen weeks an excavation was conducted on c. 4000 m² of the site "Prunn I", which brought forth evidence for various settlement activities in the Epipalaeolithic or Early Mesolithic, the Early Bronze Age [Br A2/B1] and the Late Hallstatt/Early Latène Period [Ha D/LT A]. Amongst other finds no less than 12500 pot sherds were discovered. The Middle Neolithic and the Late Latène [LT D] are represented by stray finds. Fifteen features with ceramics and flint could be attributed to the Bronze Age, material of the Late Hallstatt/Early Latène Period was found in at least 33 features. The spectrum of datable finds reached up as far as the Middle Ages and modern times. Altogether 454 features were excavated and are explained in the catalogue, for example post holes of buildings and settlement pits. Lists of finds collected from sectors and of stray finds complete the book. The most remarkable find were the foundations of a Late Hallstatt/ Early Latène house of 15 m by 2,5 m with one apsidal end and subdivisions for three rooms. In one of them the position of a loom could be located, because at least 23 loom weights had dropped when it decayed.
