Just Penny Reid. I'm starting to believe you cannot write a book I won't love. This is the story of Raquel, a movie star, who is kind of burned out by the Hollywood life, the lying, the cheating, the hypocrisy and our beloved deputy Jackson James (I mean, I really liked him in Winston Brothers books but apparently a lot of people didn't? Anyway). Jackson is trying the clean up the image that the town has of him, which is that of a player, by having a steady relationship in order to successfully run for sheriff in a few years when his father retires. On the other hand, Raquel is kind of lost, the movie she was supposed to strat shooting for in a few days just dropped her and so she comes to her friend's, Sienna (Jethro's wife), house to get everything together. The twist is that, a few years ago, Raquel and Jackson met at Sienna and Jethro's wedding and spent a night together, and left a huge impression on one another. This book was amazing, I could barely stop myself from reading it (I mean having to stop reading it to do things like work and sleep), because I just needed to get the whole story. I was really afraid when I saw that Jackson had a girlfriend at the beginning of the book, I hate OW drama, but this resolved very naturally and in the best way possible and there is no OW drama at all, *spoiler* it's actually Charlotte that breaks up with Jackson. And I'm really excited that the next book in the series seems to be about her!
