This was perfect! A perfect contemporary romance, a perfect book, aaaargh Okay, first of all, I want to make it clear that this is a sports-romance with the fake dating trope. So if you like those, go for it 100%! I feel like it's not clear enough in the blurb and that's sad cause those are 2 very well-loved sub-genres of romance. Plus, they're both really well written, as I'm not surprised coming from Penny. This one hit me really hard, mostly because I identified with Abby, and her issues were really well addressed and dealt with so the resolution was amazing. Rex is an amazing broody book boyfriend, with his own issues and personnal development. *Spoiler* This book was amazingly refreshing too because I'm happy to repport it neither relies on misunderstanding nor 3rd act break-up to move the plot along. I love those books, they are few and far between but so so lovely to read. I would HIGHLY recommend this book if you like Mariana Zapata's sport romances, for me it falls in that same amazing scope, without being a copy of any of Mariana's books and being medium burn! Also, it IS a holiday romance (sort of) so right low is the perfect time to pick it up!!
