📚 Puh, was für eine schwere Geburt! Der Einstieg in dieses Buch fiel mir extrem schwer und ich war mehr als einmal kurz davor, es einfach abzubrechen. Aber ich habe es durchgezogen! Der Fall um Jack Caffery, der in London gegen einen grausamen Täter ermittelt, war am Ende zwar spannend, aber meiner Meinung nach hätte man das Buch deutlich kürzen können. Es zieht sich stellenweise doch sehr. Wichtiger Hinweis: Das Buch thematisiert Kindesmissbrauch. Wer bei diesem Thema empfindlich ist, sollte diesen Trigger beim Lesen unbedingt berücksichtigen – das ist wirklich harte Kost. Die große Frage, was damals mit Jacks Bruder Ewan passiert ist, hat mich zwar bei der Stange gehalten, aber trotzdem steht für mich fest: Ich werde diese Reihe auf gar keinen Fall weiterlesen. Einmal Mo Hayder hat mir gereicht!
