Die Thematik/das Setting: klasse (auch direkt nochmal RDR 2 installiert). Aber es ist halt immer dasselbe Schema. Schwer verletzt, schleppt sich weiter, kurz alles ok, repeat. Und das dann halt doch alles einmal zu oft. Würde ich nicht noch ein zweites Mal lesen, aber eine Runde für die Szenerie und das doch eher vernachlässigte Genre des „Wilden Westens“ geht schon klar. P.S.: Ich habe den Film nicht gesehen.
Atmosphärischer Western & Survival-Thriller
Eindrucksvoll beschreibt Punke wie sich der nach einem Grizzlyangriff zum Sterben zurückgelassene Trapper Hugh Glass ins Leben zurückkämpft. Der Roman erschien mir deutlich komprimierter als die Verfilmung, diese steht dem Buch für mich jedoch in nichts nach.
A good, solid book based (kind of) on the true events of Hugh Glass and the Rocky Mountain Fur Company. This is going to be a short review because I honestly find I have nothing much to say about this. Much like the film, I come away from it with a feeling of "Yea, that was okay." I would describe this as fitting very snuggly into the category "Solid if unspectecular".
