For me it's still not easy reading a post-apocalyptic book in which a pandemic raged. If I had approached the book focusing more on the robots and the mudlarking, I think I would've had an easier time but the effects of the virus still continue to be a huge part of the book so, I dont know.I love Lauren James' writing a lot and I wouldn't have considered reading this book with this premise if anyone else had written it. Like all of her writing, this book is hopeful and soothing in a setting that is sometimes scary and overwhelming.

Soooo good, just like "Green Rising". It's a completely different take, but a similar hopeful atmosphere: Imagine a world in which you and your best friend are the only young people left - humanity faces an infertility crisis and is threatened to become extinct. How would you cope? Very recommended!!
