Es ist zwar schon einige Zeit her, dass ich den ersten Teil dieser Dilogie gelesen habe, aber diesen habe ich eher durchschnittlich in Erinnerung. Umso überraschter war ich wie gut mir der zweite Teil gefallen hat. Trotz einiger Erinnerungslücken bin ich gut in die Geschichte reingekommen und mir hat es nicht an Informationen zur Handlung gefehlt. Für mich war das Buch unterhaltsam, spannend und interessant. Die Zeitreisen konnten mich gut unterhalten und wurden gut in die Geschichte eingebracht, als ebenso logisch habe ich die Erklärungen gefunden. Unterhaltsam fand ich auch wie Teil 1 und 2 verknüpft wurden bzw. die Geschichte aus einer anderen Perspektive weitererzählt wurde. Clove habe ich als sehr sympathische Protagonistin empfunden und auch die anderen Charaktere waren interessant und sympathisch. Der Schreibstil der Autorin war sehr flüssig und angenehm zu lesen.
(finished this in 2016 but i want it to count for the 2017 challenge because i counted kindred spirits and that's not really a book) 'the last beginning' was a super cute and fun read! it was very exciting and fast paced and i really enjoyed it only sometimes it was a bit too much for my taste - might still reread it though
