Um dieses Faktum hat KMH einen Roman kreiert, in dem Sie das Schicksal einer Familie, mit all ihrer Not, Aberglaube, Vorurteilen beschreibt. Es ist ein Leichtes, Verbindung vom Damals ins Heute herzustellen, was die Einstellung zur LGBT+-Gemeinschaft angeht, zu Einwander*innen, zur Klassengesellschaft. KMH schreibt wirklich gut. Man kann den beschriebenen Gestank förmlich riechen, fühlt sich erdrückt von der sengenden Hitze. KMH beschreibt die damaligen Verhältnisse sehr intensiv, auf eine leise Art und Weise. Die gleichen Themen werden immer wieder aufgegriffen, was die alltägliche Routine gut wiederspiegelt. Das Buch lässt sich nicht einfach so weg lesen.
