As soon as I saw the dedication in this book on TikTok I had to read it and I was not disappointed. Loved the characters, the storyline and all the little references to Criminal Minds. I literally imagined Ranger being Spencer. Awesome book. I also love that even tho it's part of a series it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone.

Ich wollte dieses Buch alleine wegen der Widmung und wurde in keinster Weise enttäuscht. Der Schreibstil ist flüssig und sehr angenehm zu lesen. Die Kleinstadt und ihre Bewohner sind lebendig und man fühlt sich beim lesen als wäre man vor Ort. FMC Sydney ist gefühlvoll, stark und einfach ein Wunderbarer Chara MMC Ranger - Baby Brains - ist Reid. Mehr braucht man nicht zu sagen. Weird, awkward but so adorable and loving. Caring and about to miss every social cue. Die Fakten , sein Verhalten. Ach einfach alles. Ich war im Himmel. Die Lovestory war weder ein zu krasser slow burn noch war sie zu schnell. Bin komplett ausgerastet als sie sich das erstes Mal geküsst haben. Ich war dauernd am Schmunzeln wegen den beiden. Aber es ist auch nicht nur eine Romance sondern hat einen richtigen Spannenden Anteil. Sydney flieht aus NY, da sie Autorin ist und gerade eine Menge schlechte Presse hat, welche sie vor Ort einholt und dann auch noch bedroht. Das bringt alles auch noch ganz schön aus den Ruder. Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen der sich nach Maeve gedacht hat, Reid hätte eine richtige Freundin verdient. Ja dieses Buch enthält smut und ab einen gewissen Punkt auch nicht wenig. Dual POV und man kann es als Standalone lesen. Die anderen 3 Bücher sind über Ranger seine Brüder.
