War sehr viel besser als der erste Teil😭🙏🏻
Ich hätte bei einem Buch von gerade einmal 142 Seiten länge NIEMALS mit SO VIEL emotionaler Tiefe gerechnet.😭 Normalerweise sind so kleine Novellen ja eigentlich nur Lückenfüller, die noch z.b. ein paar ungeklärte Fragen beantworten aber diese Novelle hat ein so perfektes Ende für den ersten Teil der Reihe gebracht, der meiner Meinung nach ja auch nur ok war. Nach diesem kleinen Schätzchen habe ich jetzt auf jeden Fall große Motivation die Reihe noch weiter zu lesen, auch, wenn es im zweiten Teil ja bereits um ein anderes Couple gehen wird...🤭
I absolutely loved Midnight Mass by Sierra Simone. It felt like the perfect, intimate continuation and emotional closure to Priest. The intensity of this story is on another level—raw, consuming, and at times almost overwhelming in the best way. This is definitely not a light read, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re sensitive to heavier, more intense themes. It pushed boundaries and honestly broke me a little, but that’s exactly what made it so powerful. Beautifully written, deeply emotional, and unforgettable—this book will stay with me long after I finished it.

Anders als im ersten Band bin ich dieses mal trotz der wenigen Seiten mit Poppy warm geworden, allerdings war Tyler für meinen Geschmack mit seinen Gedanken (gerade auf das Eine gezogen, ihr wisst bestimmt was ich meine) ein wenig anstrengend. Wer auf viel Smut und wenig Handlung steht kommt hier voll aus ihre/seine kosten, der Vorgänger Priest sollte davor aber gelesen worden sein.
I have to admit that the first book wasn't my favorite but I decided to read this novella anyway. Turns out I love it. The story is really well written and I LOVE the way Sierra Simone represents the struggles in a marriage in this novella. The emotions felt pretty real to me and I like how this book deals with guilt and conflict and that no one is free of either one of those. What I like most though is the thoughts on Christianity and religion and how critical Tyler is debating certain aspects. I love the parts where he comes to conclusions about himself and his beliefs! I can highly recommend reading this.
