Meanwhile someone—or something—outside of both Foundations seems to be orchestrating events to suit its own ominous purpose. Soon representatives of both the First and Second Foundations will find themselves racing toward a mysterious world called Gaia and a final, shocking destiny at the very end of the universe.

Ganz okay
Ich bin recht zwiegespalten. Zum einen halte ich die Entwicklung der Foundation für realistisch, aber zum anderen stört mich, dass hier wieder Motive aufgegriffen wurden, die ich bereits als „abgehakt“ bezeichnen würde. Auch die Figurenentwicklung und das Auftauchen weiterer Fraktionen empfnde ich stellenweise als mindestens fragwürdig. Von den wenigen aktiven Frauenrollen brauche ich nicht zu schreiben, wobei es hier zumindest ein paar mehr gibt als sonst. Im Großen und Ganzen hätte das Buch gern auch etwas kürzer sein dürfen, da ich den Eindruck hatte, dass sich viele Gespräche auch wiederholt haben.
