2nd read: What a mindfuck. This time it was even more disorienting and oppressive. The loss of control that the protagonist experiences on the plot level is also experienced by the reader, because the text constantly shifts between different time and narrative layers. I think I'll have to read it a third time to really collect my thoughts and basically just understand it. This book is really nasty. 1st read: Incredible. I have never in my life read something like that, and I’m still not even sure what I just read. When I finished this book, I just sat on my bed for minutes and stared perplexed into nowhere with a multitude of obscure feelings.
