Ich bin gefühlt jetzt Fußballprofi 🤣 - ich hatte 0 Ahnung von Fußball, aber ich denke mein Wissen darüber ist jetzt tatsächlich gewachsen 😅 Anders als in andren Sports-Romance Büchern bekommt hier der Sport tatsächlich einen Platz. Das Thema Neurodiversität hat auch einen Platz, und wenn man innere Monologe mag, wird man mit dem Buch glücklich werden. Spice ist gut geschrieben und ansprechend aber nicht ultra präsent 👌
Wo ist der Hype um dieses Buch?😭🫶
Es war sooo gut❤️. Ich war super schnell in der Geschichte und wollte das Buch auch nicht mehr aus der Hand legen. Phoebe habe ich mit ihrer extrovertierten, ehrlichen und liebenswert redseligen Art sofort geliebt. Ich mochte außerdem ihr Selbstbewusstsein und ihren Ehrgeiz. Grace war ein interessantes Gegenstück zu ihr. Ich habe ein wenig länger gebracht, um mit ihrer kurzangebundenen, leicht grummeligen Art warm zu werden, doch wenn man hinter diese Fassade guckt, war sie ebenfalls ein toller Charakter mit Tiefe. Obwohl die beiden so verschieden sind, ergeben sie zusammen doch irgendwie Sinn🥹🫶. Sie ergänzen sich, helfen sich und machen ihr Leben gegenseitig besser. Und ist es nicht genau das, was man von einer tollen Liebesgeschichte will? Wir haben eine langsame Annäherung, respektvollen Umgang mit Grenzen, nachvollziehbare Gefühle, kein unnötiges Drama, einfach ein realistisches Kennenlernen. Ja, es gibt das ein oder andere Missverständnis, aber ist das nicht normal, bis man besser versteht, wie eine neue Person tickt? Ich mochte die ADHS-Repräsentation, weil Phoebe eben nicht darauf reduziert, sondern in all ihrer Vielschichtigkeit (mit Struggles und Stärken) gezeigt wurde. Ich habe mich seit langer Zeit in keinem Buch mehr so verstanden gefühlt😭🫶. Als es um Phoebes Zeitmanagement/Zuspätkommen ging, konnte ich einfach nur weinen, weil ich ihre Gefühle diesbezüglich so unfassbar nachvollziehen konnte🥺❤️. Es gibt außerdem eine Autismus-Rep und einige queere Nebencharaktere, was wirklich toll war. Auch die spicy Szenen haben mir gut gefallen, weil es eine realistische Darstellung von weiblicher Lust war (und natürlich auch einfach hot😮💨🤌). Ich fand auch den Unterschied zwischen Phoebe und Grace sehr gut dargestellt und ihr Umgang mit einander war auch so toll🥰. Die ganze Thematik rund um Fußball habe ich auch geliebt, das Team war einfach Zucker und was Grace am Ende für Phoebe tut, ich wollte einfach nur weinen, weil das auch für mich einer der größten Liebesbeweise wäre❤️ (was vermutlich nicht jeder nachvollziehen kann, aber omg😮💨😭). Es war einfach ein Buch zum Wohlfühlen, zum Fallenlassen und zum Aufgefangen werden. Tolle Charaktere, tolle Repräsentationen, tolle Liebesgeschichte❤️. Dieses Buch verdient einfach so viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit🥹🫶.

Eine Sportromanze mit einem süßen queeren Paar. Beide Charaktere sind neurodivergent und könnten unterschiedlicher nicht sein. Da sind Chaos und Missverständnisse nicht weit entfernt. Dennoch war zum Glück nicht allzu viel Drama vorhanden, auch wenn die Reaktionen und Gedanken der Figuren manchmal etwas naiv waren. Insgesamt ein tolles Young Dult Buch für zwischendurch.
Disclaimer as always I'm not a romance girlie so maybe this review isn't meant for you. This was so boring! Up to the point where I feel like the "fights" they had were AI generated just to get a few more pages for the book. But we shall begin with the characters. Our two main characters do NOT fit together at all. I think if they met in the real world they might not even get along. They only seem to match each other when having sex 🥸 They do not communicate once. This book would've been 30 pages long otherwise. And boy do I hate the miscommunication trope. (I did not know beforehand) They got into like two fights, the first one they did not talk for 3days (or so) and accidentally met and within 3 pages made up and had make up sex. The second fight they had they did not talk for like a day and then when they started to talk about what happens immediately (I think they each spoke once) they start kissing and making up and ugh. Not my cuppa tea 🫣 Especially since what one of them said was (in my opinion) pretty hurtful and inconsiderate ... Moving on to the plot... which plot 🤔 The book is about soccer yeah, but I feel like there was zero research done for this and all the soccer parts felt poorly written. The rest of the plot was basically them barely communicating and thus leading to "fights" or wrong decisions. (I write "fights" because to me these were baby fights that (were displayed like big emotional rollercoaster) could have EASILY been avoided if they two main characters would match) Also all of their teammates were one big blob of names for me because sometimes their first and sometimes their last names were mentionned but they were never really put together. What I liked was the representation of different sexualities, identities and people on the spectrum. Although for me ADHD and Autism were also poorly talked about and squeezed into the last 40 pages to once again just produce some kind of plot.
