Ich hatte schon geahnt, dass es eine eher leichte Lektüre ohne viel Tiefgang würde, aber zwischendrin dann doch auf mehr gehofft. Sprachlich ist das Buch eigentlich einfach, aber zwischendrin hat es mich total verloren. Manche Stellen sind so kompliziert beschrieben, dass ich echt nicht mit kam. Wo an der Klippe war nun was genau passiert, in welchem Winkel und wo stand die Sonne dabei? So in die Richtung ging das teilweise. Da wollte jemand sehr genau beschreiben und hat damit das Gegenteil erreicht. Die Charaktere bleiben merkwürdig blass, was super schade ist, weil vor allem die drei Frauen in ihrer Unterschiedlichkeit viel Identifikationspotential gehabt hätten. Die Pointe am Ende überrascht nicht wirklich, aber hat mich ein bisschen mit der Geschichte versöhnt. Nee also kein Highlight, aber schon ok für zwischendurch.

The length of time it has taken me to finish this book is a clear indication of how exhausting it has been to read it. I literally couldn’t keep my concentration on the book. It was tedious to finish and honestly I just kept going because I need to up my book count to meet my goal. The story was unimpressive and I was confused till halfway when I figured out the letters and present perspective. But still it’s so bad. I honestly don’t know how I’m giving this book 2⭐️s.
