DNF @16% - the reader is thrown into the book and doesn’t get a single explanation which makes it VERY hard to understand the world building at all!! —> what are overlays? Why or how can a ship (spaceship?!) be alive? - weird translated names. Rice Fish. Stilling the Mulberry Sea?! - a pronunciation guide would’ve been very helpful…

Just happy I actually finished this. Too many characters to keep track not enough worldbuilding to understand shit too many dumplings being eaten and not enough actual plot happening. I have no clue what exactly the point of the book was but whatever, I'm done.
