Lover Eternal

Lover Eternal - the second book of the series - covers the story of Rhage and Mary - two people which at first glance couldn't be more different. Rhage - a sex obsessed vampire warrior with a dark side that can easily stand its ground against the firebreathing pets of game of thrones. Mary - a human plagued by cancer with a heart of gold, who quit dreaming of love a long time ago. Rhage (alias Hollywood) charmes the Reader and his beloved not only trough his breathtaking beauty, but also with smooth sweettalk and selfsacrificing devotion. And if nothing else works, there is always the beast devouring their enemies and using their bones as a toothpick. Mary's courage and determination while facing that monster - as well as the hotter-than-hell man behind it - is truly remakable. Of course fate gets between them and their general circumstamces create even more hurdles for the pair. But as aleays - Love Conquers All! The writing style of the 2. book slightly differs from the first, but it seems to be more well rounded and invites the reader to take a second glance into this complex world. I can't help it, but every time i read Lover Eternal the song "I'm in love with a monster" comes to my mind. - rather fitting if you think about it ... ;)

*Kurzmeinung* Rhage und Mary ist ein Doppelband und enthält die beiden Bücher Ewige Liebe und Bruderkrieg. Ich finde diese Sonderausgaben ja richtig toll, leider wurden sie nach einer Weile eingestellt. Rhage lernte man ja schon in Band 1 und 2 kennen. Er wird auch Hollywood genannt, weil er so toll aussieht. Also noch besser als die anderen Brüder der Black Dagger Brotherhood. Mittlerweile habe ich mich daran gewöhnt, wie toll immer alle aussehen^^ Nach Band 1 und 2 war ich ja so ziemlich im Black Dagger Fieber, deswegen habe ich dann auch ganz schnell diesen Band hier verschlungen. Die Geschichte von Mary und Rhage hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich mochte Mary gleich, sie ist ein sehr herzlicher Mensch und hat eine angenehme Art. Und zu Rhage, joar wie könnte man ihn nicht mögen. Er hat einen tollen Humor und die Sache mit seinem Fluch war auch interessant. In Band 1 und 2 haben mich noch die übertrieben dargestellten Männer ähm Vampire gestört, hier war ich aber schon so daran gewöhnt, dass mir dies nicht mehr sauer ausstieß. Mein Highlight in dem Buch waren aber nicht die Kapitel von Mary und Rhage, sondern die wo von Zsadist und Bella handeln. Zum Glück gab es davon schon ein paar und diese haben mich extrem neugierig auf den nächsten Band gemacht. Fazit: Die Geschichte von Warth und Beth konnte mich noch nicht 100% überzeugen, doch in diesem Doppelband war ich schon völlig im Black Dagger Brotherhood Universum abgetaucht. Besonders die Kapitel von Zsadist und Bella haben mir gefallen, aber auch die Lovestory um das Hauptpaar konnte mich fesseln. Wer die erste Geschichte noch nicht so toll fand, empfehle ich trotzdem weiter zu lesen, den es wird besser.
