My place is at Evermore. I belong to the Moriyamas. It is a truth Jean has built his life around, a reminder this is the best he can hope for and all he deserves. But when he is stolen from Edgar Allan University and sold to a more dangerous master, Jean is forced to contend with a life outside of the Nest for the first time in five years. The Foxes call his transfer to California a fresh start; Jean knows it is little more than a golden cage. Captain Jeremy Knox is facing his final year with the USC Trojans and fifth straight year falling short of the championships trophy he desperately craves. Taking in the nation's best defenseman is a no-brainer, even if that man is a Raven. But Jean is no monster, just a man with no hope or desire for a future, and when Evermore's collapse starts dragging Jean's hideous secrets to light, Jeremy is forced to contend with the cost of victory. Emotional Damage

This is technically vol. 4 of the "All for the Game" series. After the trilogy, it now continues with Jean's story, and I think it's going to be another trilogy. I personally wouldn't have needed a sequel, but I am really glad it exists now and excited for the story to continue. So, idk where to even start. This book had barely any story in that sense. The first, like 100 pages, was just the end of volume 3 in Jean's POV. Still important to see his reactions and get his feelings and thoughts about everything. That is also what most of this book is, feelings, thoughts, and the resulting conversations. After what we already knew happened, this is now about Jean getting to know his new team, the Trojans, especially Jeremy, who also has many POV chapters. Around the end is more drama, but other than that, there is not much plot. So you might be wondering what is even happening throughout the whole book? The answer is trauma, trauma, and trauma. Jean's mind is in a dark place and justifiably so. We get much more insight of the abuse he had to face from the Ravens. I didn't think I would be able to hate Riko even more, but here we are. As sad as it was, it was interesting to read since it was well written. You could think he must be happy to be out of that situation, but that's not how it works. At first, he even wanted to go back. When all you know is to endure and the only place where you know how to gets taken away from you, it's inevitable to feel lost. He doesn't believe he deserves anything else, and I felt so sorry for him, but he is slowly getting better thanks to the people around him. It's also interesting how the abuse is described. It's never super detailed and sometimes rather vage when it just gets dropped out of nowhere, I had to reread many lines to be sure I understood that right, but that makes it even more shocking. Also, since you think you knew everything about it from the other books, but we never got to hear details from Jean, and his position was a different one. These books are really only for people who can deal with those topics (read the trigger warnings) and don't mind character driven stories. For me, both are not a problem, and I enjoy them a lot. I am also excited for the hinted at slowburn romance πŸ‘€πŸ’• I just hope it's not getting too dramatic overall because we already had a happy end, and I don't like it when it gets destroyed after the original ending. Of course, Jean's story is still ongoing, but I liked the end for Neil and don't want him to get too mixed up in this. He and Kevin appeared a few times here since they are all involved in the same problem, but I can't imagine it getting as big as in volume 3 again. Well, we'll see πŸ˜…

It's interesting to see Jean's story. I feel sorry for him on many levels. It's interesting to see him slowly learning how to be human again. I'm not sure what else to say yee I liked it a lot tho.

I cried to many times. Those books will habe my heart forever. The only regret I have is that I didn't read them earlier.

We are so back!

Laura has done it again. I don’t know how she does this but the way she writes characters is pure magic. I was immediately in the story. I immediately was obsessed with every character. I remember hearing about the news that the foxhole court was going to get Jean sequels and I couldn’t believe it and it took me a while but now that I finished this one I really don’t want to leave this world ever! And of course the Writing is not the best, as well as the pacing or the fact that it’s not realistic at all…But that’s also why I love it.

β€žI am Jean Moreau,β€œ he told her. β€žI have always gotten exactly what I deserve.β€œ Ich bin fertig und ich bin nicht okay, ugh. Hilfe.

10/10 - do not recommend

I loved it, I cried. I have so much hope for the next book, I fear everything about it. (Spoiler) There were a few things that annoyed me throughout the book, Jeremy pressing Jean to talk about his traume being the biggest issue. But it only shows how not only Jean has to grow, every character has their own story, own development. I'm looking forward to reading how they can learn more from each other in the second book.

Still Triggerwarnung fΓΌr ungefΓ€hr alles. This time: Baby Jean

And this time its all about healing.

I loved it and there is no possibility of getting me to recommend it ever. Trust me you wouldn’t like it .

Soy feliz.

This book is absolutely beautiful. In the most painful way possible. Though it doesn not make sense at times, it captures Jeans start to his healing jearny wonderfly. It will break your heart, make you angry and sad. But it will also warm your heart at times. When you get to see a wholesome moment. And it will also make you smile or even laugh thanks to the hilarious coments some of the Charakters make. All in all. I love it. 2nd time reading it and it was even better than before β™‘

I want it on the record, before I engage with this text when it comes out, that Jean - in a weird twist of fate and fandom - is my favourite character in this series, so this is going to be... something.

The immense joy I felt when I found out about this book is indescribable. Everyone who knows me knows the place the all for the game series has in my heart. What can I say Nora Sakavic has done it again! This book is beautiful and absolutely gut wrenching and heart breaking and I could not set it down.

5

I just binged a whole book on the day it was released without even intending to. Also, Neil is completely unhinged when it's not his perspective.

4

The first chapters dragged a little, but to start Jean's story of healing (hopefully) was a delight.

This book. It broke me, it made me cry, it made me smile, it made me laugh. Huge 'thank you's to Nora, for writing another book in this series and bestie Vera for introducing me to this series. I love the characters with my whole heart and it's nice to see that they finally get the good life they deserve (even though a lot of shit happened and still happens). I hope that there will be more books in the future!
