Mein Gott, habe ich mich da durchgequält. Die Geschichte hat zwar einen roten Faden, dafür aber keine Spannung, nichts nimmt einen mit. Keine Pointe. Wer einem verbitterten Ehepaar bei der Reise zuhören möchte, wie sie miteinander schlafen und sie sich die abgestorbene Haut vom Fuß pult - bitte. Das war für mich das erste und das letzte Stewart O'nan Buch, ist gar nichts für mich... Erinnerte mich eher an eine Schullektüre, bei der man aus jeder Vorhangfarbe etwas herausdeuten muss, damit etwas Sinn ergibt.
