But maybe there is more to Small Sade. And maybe everyone in Oluwan City deserves more too - from the maids all the way to the Anointed Ones.

Liebe alles an diesem Buch. Jordan Ifueko ist eine meiner absoluten Lieblingsautorinnen. Sie schreibt so dicht und einnehmend, dass mich ihre Geschichten jedes Mal ab der ersten Seite packen. Ich habe es so genossen nach Raybearer und Redemptor wieder nach Aristar und Oluwan City zurückzukehren. Es war spannend, die Welt aus der Sicht eines "normalen" Mädchens kennenzulernen, Sade ist mir unglaublich ans Herz gewachsen. Wie immer in Ifuekos Büchern baut sie Probleme der echten Welt elegant in ihre Geschichte ein und bringt wirklich zum Nachdenken. Ich liebte auch die leichten Anlehnungen an Howls Moving Castle, ebenso wie all die kulturellen Hinweise auf westafrikanische Mythologie, die ich schon in der Raybearer-Dilogie so genossen habe. Eine absolute Empfehlung von mir – kann auch gelesen werden, ohne die andern beiden Bücher zu kennen, wobei es das Leseerlebnis noch schöner macht (und die Dilogie ist absolut lesenswert!) Ich finde, Ifuekos Bücher sind gut in der Originalsprache zu lesen und würde empfehlen, die deutschen Übersetzung wenn dann Secondhand kaufen.
