The Dream

This is the extended annotated edition including the rare biographical essay by Edwin E. Slosson called "H. G. Wells - A Major Prophet Of His Time". The Dream is one more lively Wellsian criticism of the modern world as this man saw it: a world of slavish marriage and church-bound religion, property-made war and social injustice. His world is inhabited by the perfected humans of the fortieth century. But the one of the supermen has a dream about himself in a former incarnation as a London cockney.
