He left behind everything he knew… but he never expected to find her.
A year off, a new identity, and a chance to escape the emptiness of his privileged life. That was the plan. But when Christopher Miles steps into a crowded hostel in Barcelona, reality hits hard. Gone are the luxuries he’s used to—his penthouse, his tailored suits, his billion-dollar empire. In their place? A shared dorm room, questionable roommates, and the one woman who might actually make this trip worthwhile.
Hayden Whitmore is smart, beautiful, and completely immune to his good-looks and usual charms. She’s on her own journey, finally seizing her independence and traveling across Europe to find herself. Hayden doesn’t know (or care) who Christopher really is and she’s made one thing very clear– he’s firmly in the friend zone.
Determined to prove he’s more than the player she assumes he is, Christopher plays the long game of friendship. But the closer they get, the harder it becomes to ignore the undeniable attraction between them and Christopher realizes one thing for certain. He may have left his old life behind, but when it comes to Hayden, walking away isn’t an option.

I don’t even know where to start explaining how frustrating this was. I thought Christopher would be a nice, funny guy from what we learned in the past books, especially from Elliott‘s book. I mean he helped him with the animals and took care of him when he was arrested. He seemed to be competent and somewhat like a decent guy. Well, I was wrong. He acted like a teenager (he is 31 years old!). Everything has to be perfect for him and be exactly the way he wants it to be. If it is not he gets mad, starts yelling at people and is really rude. And the problem was that at times I thought that he was getting better. And right after those scenes he started acting out again. He is such an egocentric person and I honestly do not understand how Hayden fell for him. I mean it isn’t like he was like that to everyone but her. No, he yelled at her as well and did not care about her opinions at all!. He has ZERO empathy and would not understand why she did not want to live in the city of London for him when she grew up on a farm and works with farm animals. He expected her to move across the world for him because he is rich and has an important job and thinks her job is a hobby and not important. And then instead of compromising on living outside of London (like his brother btw. it’s not like he just somehow couldn’t get the idea) he wants her to live with him and refuses to change anything. But the worst thing was that Hayden just went back to him all the time. I really don’t der it. I am so mad.
